..because they were surrounded by great players?

At some point the media has to decide which of these players were so great that the others don't deserve their accolades.

Last 2 days I have heard many state how Emmitt belongs in the top 5 list at best.

Irvin is dened the HOF, which isnt a surprise and by itself isn't overly upsetting based on past history. But hearing Steve Young easily got in on 1st vote does make Irvin's snub a bit tough to take.

I know there is a great chance Aikman and Emmitt will be 1st ballot guys. But I still feel some of the 90's cowboys were penalized for having some great teammates, maybe too much so.

It's all about jealousy! Too many haters out there. Or they are so dumb that they forgot already.

Aikman, Smith, Irvin, Allen and Sanders are Ring of Honor players. (RoH is a greater honor than the hall of shame.)

Woody, Haley and Novecek will be in the same group as Pearson, Harris, Hayes and Wright. Which is, if it was a perfect world, at least of them would get in. Although in my mind all of them should.

If we had a tenth of the love the Steelers get, Johnston might get in as well. As a pure football player, he should get in.
