Coleman is best known for his role as Arnold Drummond on the sitcom 'Diff'rent Strokes.'

I was reading an article that said the guy made about $18 Million over his career and when he turned 18 and was able to access the the trust fund his parents setup for him, there was only $220,000 in it.
Just goes to show you how all it takes is "one" bad person in your life to ruining you for a long time.
Oh, Lisa Bloom can scold me anytime she wants :).

Didn't most of the cast of Different Strokes have issues? I know the older kid (Todd Bridges I think) got into drugs real bad. And I think the girl ended up in porn, or something.
I loved that show growing up. Ahhh . . . I miss the 80's.

The actors who played Mr Drummond and Mrs Garrett wound up the worst after the show. They wound up being busted for running a sweat shop of underage workers making ponchos in mexico.

It wouldn't have been so bad if was just that but when he got busted for selling cocaine to the girls on Facts of Life, well, that was the end for him.

Is this true?
Yes...and it was later reported that the ponchos being made were sold to some kind of rebel/terrorist groups in central america but I don't remember which group it was. And as someone else stated, they were selling cocaine to the girls on the facts of life show and even George Clooney and Leo Dicaprio (sp?) admitted to buying cocaine from them when they had their short stints on the show.

R.I.P, Gary.
When I was a kid I enjoyed watching his movies from the early 80s.
Seems like most of the had "The Kid" in the title.
The kid from left field.
The kid with the broken halo. ETC.
It's a shame how his life turned out after his acting career fizzled. I usually don't feel sorry for celebs that end up broke after making millions but his parents played a big role in his financial difficulties, so I felt for the guy.

Interesting accusations.
It looks like drama will follow Gary Coleman to his grave.
Coleman's parents believe that his death may have been caused by blunt force trauma.
"If I had the dollars, I'd hire someone to take another look at the body to see if there was any blunt force trauma to the head," said Victor Perillo, a spokesperson for Sue and Willie Coleman. "How did he hit his head?" Perillo asks. "Why was there so much blood?"
Authorities have said there was nothing suspicious about the 42-year-old's death from a brain hemorrhage. Coleman's ex-wife, Shannon Price, said the hemorrhage was caused by a fall. She denied pushing Coleman.
In addition, there is the news that someone is shopping photos of Coleman while he was hooked up to life support and after he died. That is simply disgusting. If any tabloid buys those pictures, they should be subject to the same ridicule as the person who took them. I hope no one in Coleman's family took the pictures.
Our celebrity-obsessed culture has gone off the deep end: We see celebrities onstage, in the supermarket and on vacation. Do we really need to see them when they are dead or dying?

This is sad and - despite the Larry Flynt Patriots of the world notions that it's someone's right to see this sort of thing, truly disgusting.
But...
Our celebrity-obsessed culture has gone off the deep end: We see celebrities onstage, in the supermarket and on vacation. Do we really need to see them when they are dead or dying?
Out celebrity-obsessed culture is the product of a two way street, where people will openly whore themselves for a fraction of a moments air-time. They've invited complete strangers into their sex lives and personal habits intentionally.

From the little I've read about her, she sounds pretty horrendous.
I wouldn't be surprised if she knocked him down the stairs.
