Hey my old Political Zone Friends... and Enemies :D

Damn after 40 years.

Al and Tipper Gore to separate

Couple says split after 40 years of marriage is 'mutually supportive decision'

Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife Tipper are separating after 40 years of marriage, NBC News confirmed Tuesday.

The Gores said it was "a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration."

The couple told friends about the split in an e-mail, according to POLITICO.

Gore served for eight years as vice president under Bill Clinton and was the Democratic Party’s nominee during the 2000 presidential campaign. He previously served as a United States representative and senator from Tennessee.

The couple has four adult children: Karenna, Kristin, Sarah, and Albert III.

Both Al and Tipper Gore are still living in Nashville, Tenn.

If I were Al, it would have been me that left her. I can't stand that woman.

Don't know if I could marry someone named...Tipper.

Oh and I still love when Dee Snider basically told Al that it was not his fault that Tipper was thinking about S&M stuff when talking about his song Under the Knife which was about surgery. :laugh2:

It's kind of sad in a way, though. Forty years is a long time to be together. Hard to imagine calling it quits after that long.

You have to wonder if they fell out of love 20 years or more prior to that and just stayed together for reasons other than love.

Probably because he's hanging around the house more, leaving the toilet seat up, etc.

I agree with Dennis, but everyone else could say the same thing about him.
