Former NFL defensive tackle La'Roi Glover played in the league for 13 years. He spent the final three with the Rams.

And now he's back.

A year after retiring, Glover has rejoined the team as director of player programs. The team announced the move on Wednesday.

Per the team-issued release, Glover will be responsible for assisting players with the transition to professional football, and various off-the-field related matters.

"La'Roi was the consummate professional during his NFL career," said Rams G.M. Billy Devaney. "We look forward to him using his knowledge and experiences to develop activities and programs that will be a benefit to the careers of our players."

"It's a great opportunity to work with these players and help them manage some of the complexities you face as a professional football player," Glover said. "It's good when you have someone who has been there and can offer guidance and equip you with the tools that will help you be successful in areas besides strapping on the helmet on Sundays."

Speaking of Sundays, Glover would likely help the Rams even more by suiting up and playing. With all due respect to the team's interior defensive linemen, we don't have much respect for the abilities of the team's interior defensive linemen.

Yep, he was the man. Great player and ultimate pro who never complained. Maybe the best FA signing Jerry ever made.

Cosign all previous replies. Nothing but total respect for that man. Wish him great fortune in all ways that can be interpreted.
