View Full Version : North Korea warns that military forces will respond

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — North Korea is warning that its military forces will respond if the U.N. Security
Council questions or condemns the country over the sinking of a South Korean navy ship — an act it vehemently denies.

North Korea's U.N. Ambassador Sin Son Ho told a news conference Tuesday there is "a touch-and-go situation that war may break out at any time" because of South Korean accusations that the North torpedoed the ship and killed 46 sailors.

Sin accused South Korea and the United States of cooking up the accusation against the North and demanded that a military investigation team from Pyongyang be permitted to go to the site of the sinking, which the South has refused to allow.

I'm seriously at the end of my rope with their regime. That has to be the worst country on the planet. A whole country brainwashed on bad propaganda. What the youtube video on north korea if you haven't already. I would not be upset if we made that country into one big parking lot for south korea.

Kim Jong Il is a nut case. Kim Jong Um is a bigger nut case. The sooner that regime is removed from power, the better for that entire peninsula.

You've got millions living in squalor and near starvation, but you spend hundreds of millions in trying to develop your own nuclear weapons force?

The North Korean Navy attacked and sank a South Korean vessel killing 46 people. That isn't an accident. It's an act of war. Treat it as a military action and deploy an overwhelming military response. **** that giving them free fuel oil. Attack their military infrastructure without constraint.

I agree but easier said than done. You need to look at the overall picture and consequences that go along with it. In the end I think N. Korea will cross a line of no return. Lil Kim is a few cards shy of a deck and the older he gets the more dangerous I think he is. Even China has had problems dealing with him

Anything is possible but NK has a long list of things they have done. This is not a benefit to the US or S. Korea who has allot riding on the line, if a conflict does break out Soule is right at the front line and would be wiped out quickly in a conflict. SK is placing the blame on NK because their ship was attacked by NK

The fact that they were launching a warship (increase military power) is exactly why North Korea sank it.

No kidding. This is like going to a gunfight with no ammunition and a plugged barrel.

The North Koreans have been pulling all sorts of violent activities for decades. Most soldiers that I talked to who worked the DMZ told me that there were nightly incursions along its length, guns fired, people killed, etc. The North Koreans have not been shy about killing/kidnapping and such in foreign countries either.

IF Romo 2 does even a little bit of research he would pull up all sorts of stories on such events. Lacking this sort of thing will not help give his other opinions much credence.

It is because many Koreans (at least in the South) want to be a united country. Now they don't want it to be under someone like Lil Kim but many do want to be united.

That is not saying anything bad about the South Korean people. They just want to see the suffering of many N. Koreans stop and want to be one country that can exist in a peaceful state.

Yeah. It really isn't the fault of the North Korean people. Millions of them are starving. But I do consider Kim Jong Il to be extremely dangerous and he needs to be taken out. I'm a history stud. The tests are SO easy, if you miss an entire topic you still get atleast an 80. You just look at the choices and go, ok who was the president, what political party where they and what were the key issues. Then you usually get it down to 2 choices and then one usually makes sense and one is dum.

Tests are easy its just how you approach them lol

I'm a history stud. The tests are SO easy, if you miss an entire topic you still get atleast an 80. You just look at the choices and go, ok who was the president, what political party where they and what were the key issues. Then you usually get it down to 2 choices and then one usually makes sense and one is dum.

Tests are easy its just how you approach them lol

Wait until you get to college. The tests there require a lot of thinking. I thought I was going to breeze through college like I did in highschool. It wasn't the case. My GPA dropped from a 3.5 in highschool to a 3.0.

I have issues with my fine motor skills and can not take notes. My handwriting is illegible, so with the addition of a laptop taking notes it will get easier for me. Or atleast stay the same.

No kidding. My US History, 1877-Present final exam at Texas Tech was a killer. The professor was from Colorado State, on a one semester contract, doing research at Tech. 50 questions, multiple guess plus a single essay question.

"Describe any social, political, socio-economic, or events of interest from 1887 to present time that shaped the modern United States."

Translated: Write the book in the time remaining.

I took that test in the spring of 1993. I still remember that question being written on the board and the groans of people as they read it and recognized what it meant.

I write fast. Really fast. 27 pages in a blue book. It dropped me from an A to a C. Everyone I knew failed the class. I ran into one of the TA's the next semester and he remembered that I passed. Out of class of hundreds. Folks that have attended Texas Tech, it was in one of those cavernous lecture rooms in Holden Hall.

That's my final exam horror story.

Romo2Austin, you'll need to do what you can about taking better notes by hand. Eventually you'll run into a prof that expects you to be able to keep up in taking notes with how fast they speak, and the text book won't help worth a damn.

A professor I had at SWT would diagram biochemical pathways, turn, explain them, then erase them to start the next point. Almost impossible to keep up with, and even in the nightly study sessions we couldn't put the diagrams completely back together from the notes we had. You ended up in the library on the weekends trying to find the right reference material to put together coherent notes to start to study for the test.

Romo 2, it is STUPID to give a serial killer the benefit of the doubt. THAT is the parallel to North Korea.

That one around 2:30 is sick. The camera shakes, and you can see the rounds coming in from the top left quarter of the video. 4 orders of Hamburger Helper to go.

One of my favorites is "Muj Hotel" on You Tube. It's the 38 second video clip. Can't link to it because of language, but I think we should have gotten Kimmy a suite for the day.

I'll look up Muj Hotel. PM me when you get the details.

I love this clip. It makes me proud of my boys so to speak, who I work to support.

As far as 2:30...You mess with the bull, you get the horns. At least.
