the maximum age to audition for that show is still 28.

To summarize, the minimum age was dropped from 16 to 15.

I think they need to just cancel the show already, everyone knows its coming.

Why cancel when you can lower the age and perform an extensive cash suck from the Teenie Boppers! They can spend Mom and Dad's cash better than Mom and Dad can themselves.

Pretty smart idea for them to try and remain relevant. They know that they are pretty much done with the adult crowds, so they are going to continue jumping shark and try shifting to the other cash cow.

Having said that, I will tune out.

I doubt I will watch next year with Simon gone. If there is simply unreal talent I suppose I will, and I will watch the early blooper type shows, but Ellen was awful, and I was never that into the other judges opinions from the word go. Randy and the others booing as Simon is introduced is more rude than he ever was, and Paula talking over him was also more rude than he ever was. I only saw one episode this year after the blooper shows and I didn't miss it.
