View Full Version : Did I say I hated Lady Gaga?

Bob Sacamano

No, I mean I totally loathe her!

She goes to a Yankee game clad in just a half-buttoned jersey, and claims she wants to watch and not be bothered by the paparazzi. So she gets all in a tizzy and flips off the fans.

What does she think was gonna happen? 1st, she's famous. 2nd, she's scantily clad. And 3rd, she arrives during the 5th inning.

Seinfeld Rails Against Gaga's Less-Than-Ladylike Behavior

Posted Tue Jun 22, 2010 5:12pm PDT by Joseph Brannigan Lynch in Stop The Presses! (http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/stopthepresses)
In a classic episode of his hit show, Jerry Seinfeld created the "second spitter" theory (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=1226qq0tb/**http%3A//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boyfriend_%2528Seinfeld%2529) to defend Mets legend Keith Hernandez against Kramer's accusations, but the real-life comedian was less forgiving of Lady Gaga's obscene behavior at Citi Field.

"This woman is a jerk, I hate her," Seinfeld half-joked (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=12urqbfhp/**http%3A//www.nypost.com/p/news/local/jerry_seinfeld_calls_calls_lady_1bVWKP67rYxAPhn3qE bGvI) during a radio interview.
Apparently, the 56-year-old comedian was not happy that the Mets allowed the 24-year-old pop star to be the (temporary) master of his domain.
Photos: Gaga's barely-there baseball wardrobe (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=10q6e5bg7/**http%3A//yhoo.it/d93oxJ)
"I can't believe they put her in my [VIP] box, which I paid for," Seinfeld vented.

Gaga was ushered to Seinfeld's luxury box after she made an obscene gesture to paparazzi-and fans-from her behind-home-plate seats. Apparently, Gaga was upset (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=11v4lvk27/**http%3A//wcbstv.com/local/lady.gaga.citifield.2.1745750.html) that photographers were snapping pics as she tried to enjoy America's favorite sport while scantily clad. (Considering she showed up during the fifth inning, Gaga was clearly intent on watching the game.)
When she asked to be moved, fans started booing her (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=11v4lvk27/**http%3A//wcbstv.com/local/lady.gaga.citifield.2.1745750.html) and she responded with the features. By the seventh inning, the Mets staff had moved her to Seinfeld's empty box.
"You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now?" Seinfeld asked WFAN's host.Referring to her stage name, Seinfeld pointed out, "You take one 'A' off that and you've got 'gag.'" (He gets an 'A' for pretty clever insults.)
"She is talented though," Seinfeld eventually conceded (http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/jerry_seinfeld_calls_calls_lady_1bVWKP67rYxAPhn3qE bGvI%3E) regarding Gaga's artistry. "I don't know why she's doing this stuff."
Wildest onstage outfits: Gaga, Miley, J. Lo, and more (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=10qio5jgf/**http%3A//yhoo.it/aIiM5F)
Since the incident, the Mets have publicly apologized to long-time fan Seinfeld for their "quick decision" to give Gaga his box.
Gaga, however, wasn't finished striking out. After the Yankees lost to the Mets last Friday, Gaga talked her way past security and visited the Yankees clubhouse. Dressed in not much more than a half-unbuttoned Yankees jersey, the Manhattan-born pop star met with Alex Rodriguez and Robinson Cano, telling them how honored she was to be in the hallowed locker room.
Although it was initially reported that Yankees co-chair Hal Steinbrenner permanently banned her from the clubhouse for her outrageous unauthorized visit, general manager Brian Cashman has clarified that she's welcome to visit again (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=12hqkf6g4/**http%3A//www.nypost.com/p/news/local/gross_gaga_skankee_0KUv1I7990pbzT0KsQgBEJ).
"Celebrities aren't banned," Cashman said. "If Michael Jordan showed up here he would have access [to the clubhouse], but not after a loss." Cashman insists the incident was "not her fault," and it was a case of "the wrong time and the wrong place."
While stories of Gaga raising a ruckus might not come as a shock, her recent behavior stands in sharp contrast with what she recently told Rolling Stone (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=126ct2ur2/**http%3A//www.mtv.com/news/articles/1642088/20100622/lady_gaga.jhtml) for a cover story.
When asked about testing "borderline positive" for lupus, a disease her family has a history of, Gaga assured her fans she's changing her outrageous habits to ensure her health.
"I reduce stress in my life to make sure I don't develop [the disease]," she said. "I make much more of an effort now to minimize the drama or the stress [in my life]."

Keeping in mind her antics at the Yankees and Mets stadiums, Her Ladyship must hold different definitions of "stress" and "drama" when it comes to her brazen lifestyle.

Go Jerry Seinfeld!

Wow, I had no idea she was once normal. That's sad. I don't understand why some of these entertainers think they have to go all crazy to prove they are artists. I know a lot of them who have gotten BAD career advice but when I look at that video of her performing as a normal person, I can't thinking that she could be a much better artist than she is now. Right now she is simply a freak show.

This really doesn't make much sense.

Think they have to go all crazy to prove they are artists? Bad career advice? Much better artist?

Her being crazy is not some intent to prove she's an artist.. Nor is it bad career advice. It's mega ****ing great career advice, like it or not. Her crazy hair and make up are something people adore about her.

She is on top of the music industry right now, and looks to be staying there for a while. She's well past the "Just a flash in the pan" phase. Whoever was giving her advice deserves credit for getting her there. She's right up there with Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

I'm not a huge fan of Beyonce, Gaga, or Swift, but to say any of them lack talent, or call them bad artists, is a bit profound.

As far as Gaga's looks go? She's a very plain looking women with a long face. Her body is ****ing ROCKING.

I've never understood the whole Man/hermaphordite thing, other than the fact that it was a publicity stunt during the initial stage of her big career. She certainly looks nothing like a man. Her face is really her only "Meh" feature. The make-up does her a disservice, it doesn't hide anyting.

Her telephone video. Skip to 3:20, or 7:45 I don't understand how anyone could think her body is not beautiful.

Whether folks want to admit it or not, for the most part, you have to have talent to make it to the level she has made it, irregardless of whether you listen to their music or not.

So my argument is, if everyone at that level has talent, those people at that level are going to have to do things to differentiate themselves from the competition and Lady Gaga's way may have been "fashion".

People like ourselves who have normal jobs do things to differentiate ourselves from the pack all the time (Obtain advanced degrees, certifications etc etc).

As long as you are doing this legally, I say make all the money you can and set your grandkid's grandkids up.

A lot of the folks we look at as legends now were considered "weired" or "anti-social" when they first hit the scene.

I was not saying there was anything wrong with what she is doing.

Just that it is sad she is known more for being outrageous than for her considerable talent.

That is probably true.

I'm not fan. I think she's over the top weird, and it's just annoying and not creative, and I don't find her music in the least bit appealing.

Obviously she has some sort of talent or she wouldn't have made it to be a big time music star but, then again, New Kids on The Block were once pretty big stars too so take that talent evaluation with a grain of salt when it comes to music.
