Sergio Kindle has a fractured skull
Posted by Mike Florio on July 26, 2010 3:30 PM ET
Earlier this afternoon, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Ravens rookie linebacker Sergio Kindle won't be in Baltimore for at least three weeks. Regardless of when he shows up, he won't be participating in training camp.
Multiple media members are reporting via Twitter that coach John Harbaugh has ruled Kindle out of training camp. Harbaugh said that Kindle's specific head injury that resulted in his hospitalization was a fractured skull.
Harbaugh says that Kindle was staying at a friend's house, that Kindle woke up in the middle of the night, took a wrong turn in the dark, and fell down the steps.
Harbaugh has not ruled out Kindle for the season opener, but Harbaugh said that Kindle will have a lot of catching up to do.

Sounds pretty serious and he only going to miss training camp? I thought they were going to be more careful with head injuries?

Just curious, was there alcohol involved?
Eitherway, I hope he heals quick. Painful injury!

so he threw himself down the stairs?
what if he tripped over a toy or a rug...it does happen.
btw, sergio should be a baseball player....I mean when you read the injury report it sounds so much like something that would have to a Major Leaguer.
get well soon serg...........HOOK EM

Perhaps.
He could also have a sleep walking problem.

Wasnt one of the reasons he fell on draft day due to some off the field questions? I know some of it was supposedly a concern over an injury (knee maybe) but I thought I remember him having some other question marks as well.
Funny how that isnt a headline with him now, because he's a Raven (one of the media darling teams). If he were a Cowboy, this would be front page news and lead story on BSPN.

Regardless of the cause, this is pretty sad. Here's hoping he makes a full recovery.

What story is more important? Serious injury to a Ravens player or Pad-Gate in Cowboys Camp?

Word is he has a DUI/DWi in his past and has had some maturity issues. Also, supposedly in his past he drove into an apartment building while he was busy texting. He also has a 4 year old son.
Lots of speculation about whether he was drinking or not when this happened. The whole thing has been very hush hush.
According to local radio, his father's name is Johnny Walker.
That's all I have.

Yeah seems a bit strange. Falling down stairs does become more likely when you've been hitting the sauce.
Which by the way if he were a Dallas Cowboy, he'd already be guilty of in this case per BSPN.
