Perfect fit.

I've always rooted for the Bengals in the AFC these past few years, good to see TO land on a competitive team, especially with his good friend OchoCinco.

And he will spend the Bengal mandated minimum of two nights in jail before being invited to camp.

good signing. I'm happy for him. our secondary had better be ready, because he will beat them at least once or twice.

Antonio Bryant is much better than him at this point in their careers.

I can't see the ball being spread around that much and I'm sure Carson Palmer is wanting to kill himself right about now. Imagine a basketcase like Bryant, and two divas like Owens and Ocho in the same huddle.

Oh and don't forget about Matt Jones there for quality depth.

I figured the anti TO threads had received enough run here in the fan zone so this news deserves equal attention as well. I have stayed out of those threads mostly because they served little purpose but mainly because he no longer wears the star. Well... looky loo... He may get his original asking price (with incentives as it should be) and will play for a playoff team. I know those of us that despise his very existence are gripping right now but, rest assured, he no longer wears the star. So don't fret too much.

Where is the story, and if he has actually signed why isn't the team named?

He may get it.... if he reaches incentives, as you noted.

Let's no kid ourselves. I highly doubt Owens/Rosenhaus wanted an incentive laden contract.

We both know they were after the guaranteed money and didn't get it.

Its a tribute to how he's fallen off.

Hopefully, he can live up to it. I have no problems with him. Wish him the best of luck next year. And I'm glad he gets a chance to end his career with an actual QB and not the crap he ended up with last year.

That would not be a surprise. They usually make it once every 5 years and struggled the second half of last year.

But think about this.... Chad Johnson (Im still calling him that), Antonio Bryant, T.O. and Matt Jones as WR's. They would need their own baggage claim carousel at the airport. Too bad HBO is not doing Hard Knocks this year with them.

Yeah, I think that too. But I think it has nothing to do with T.O.

In their division, I think the Ravens are better. I think the Steelers are a better team with Big Ben. I think the Chargers are better; the Jets, the Patriots, and the Colts.

I think teams like Houston and Ten could give them a shot, too.

In short, I don't think they make the playoffs either, but its because they aren't that good; not because they signed T.O.

I wonder if Quan Cosby got cut. I have a story to tell you about the old company I worked for, which was once owned by Cedrix Bensons.

But I'll have to get around to that later.

So Owens is taking his Jerry Rice stat padding victory lap...except without a super bowl ring.

TO may play till he's 40 but this is his last opportunity to start.

He'll be a Raider in 2011.

they have the potential to be really good, or terrible. cedric benson may be comfortable again but if he plays like he did last year, and the d continues to get better, then they will make the playoffs.

I'll be rooting for the Bengals. I want them in the Super Bowl.

I want Owens last game to be a Super Bowl loss to the Cowboys.

I dont want that. I Like TO. Most people on this board know that. I wanted him with the team last year (would not have resigned him this year), but I do not want him to play us in the super bowl in dallas. Not because I think we would lose, but their is always that possibility of losing. Can you imagine the scrutiny we would hear for the whole off season if we lost the SB at home to a man there was so much controversy about cutting. TO's mouth would be enough, but then hearing my brothers mouth (a "cowboy fan" who rooted against the team for cutting TO last year) would be too much for me to handle.

I can't wait for a chance to see Owens vs Jenkins or Newman, even if it's just pre-season.

I still like Owens and hope that that we get a chance to see him in a game that counts (if you know what I mean) :-)

Don't they have Cedrick Benson?

The Bengals just don't care. They will take all sorts of shady characters.

And they have Ray Maualuga who had some issues, I think.

Did anyone hear him last night on his post-practice press conference? Said that he is so excited to be in Cincy because he is now with argueable the greatest QB he has ever had in his career other than possibly Steve Young. Where does this guy get off? Since when did Carson Palmer elevate past Donovan McNabb of the early 2000s or Tony Romo for the past couple years. This guy is such an over-rated has been.
