My dogs do this to my friend Phil every time he leaves my house.
They only react to him like this when he's exiting, never when he's entering the yard or backdoor. Even to the point, that when they're inside and see him picking up his keys, they'll go sit by the door and wait on him to open it.
As soon as he sets one foot past the threshold, it's go time! :laugh2:
