Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis' patience is at an end when it comes to offensive tackle Andre Smith (http://cincinnati.com/blogs/bengals/2010/08/11/lewis-with-terse-words-for-smith-optimistic-about-leonard/).
Smith continues to have health and conditioning issues that have prevented him from practicing.
The former first-round draft pick is not off to a good start to the season.
“Andre’s doing OK," Lewis said. "That’s not a well, that’s not a jumping jack. That’s not a backflip, he’s doing OK."
Smith could begin the season on the physically unable to perfom list.
“Whenever he gets to where I want him that’s when we’ll have him,” Lewis said. “He’s being monitored hourly. Andre’s going to figure out how to become a pro and do things the way it’s asked to do all the time. Hopefully, he continues to do it in a timely fashion. Because otherwise, I’m not going to go through this year in and year out.”
Another waste of money - I am still calling for a rookie cap
