I am. That Armstrong kid looks better than any WR they have, not named Santana Moss.

Yeah McNabb has been horrid. We now know they're going to the Superbowl though from last weeks good game...remember? :laugh2:

Is Mike Shanahan trying to get Donovan McNabb killed? He's getting crushed surrounded by second-string talent. I don't get it. Pull him

Mcnabb looks trash out there. D Hall has to be the easiest corner to complete a pass against.

Suggs looked really good against the skins rookie LT. Almost had a safety on McPuke and than got a sack later in the game both on speed rushes which happen to be D-Ware's best move.

Skins fans are delusional if they think Williams won't struggle some. Especially since he's known as a guy who never had a great work ethic.
But I guess the first four words above are like saying water is wet.

You mean Art doesnt have him in the HOF already? He probably has a run down showing how every Redskin starter is among the top 3 at their position in the league, and the Skins are headed to 15-1 and an easy super bowl win.

The Bills had control of that game with a promising drive that got derailed after a penalty. In my opinion, none of the NFC East teams look any good right now but I think everyone is sandbagging to keep their tendencies in check.

McNabb looks horrible throwing to his left. If the Cowboys can take away the right side of the field and make McNugget throw left, he will struggle.

True but the perennial last place team with a new staff usually goes harder during the preseason to win games just to help change the climate.

Not quiet, just busy laughing at Romo who hasn't looked any better.
But seriously, the preseason must be an exact indication of how the season will go. Obviously Romo will have a QB rating of about 64 and throw as many picks and TDs.
You guys crack me up, no better than the homers who think the 'Skins have the NFC East locked up.

Except we know we've got 2 of the last 3 NFC East titles, a winning record the past four seasons, and a solid team returning 20 of 22 starters so we don't get all that excited when things aren't perfect in the preseason.
However, when the Redskins pull one game out of their *** against a poor Buffalo team and then blow up the radio call in shows about how great they're gonna be we do indeed :lmao: .
Then they come out tonight and suck to help the rest of the world know that things are as the football gods intended.

219 yards in the first half against the Ravens first team D while they ran fake punts and poured gatorde on Zorn at the end.
Its rough, it doesn't look polished yet, but for a preseason game a good showing by the 1s. Still got work to do over the next 3 weeks

Meh, I had stuff to do tonight. Didn't catch most of the game except for the Redskins first series where McNabb connected on 3 of 4 passes on 3rd down and moved the team downfield on the Ravens first team D.
When I stopped watching it was still 3-0, missed the fake punt and whatever else happened.
Negatives? Didn't put enough points on the board, Kareem Moore out 4-6 weeks with the Kyle Kosier injury. Albert being Albert, and being fooled on a fake punt
Positive: 219 yards in the 1st half vs the Ravens first team D, McNabb connecting deep with Anthony Armstrong (although that ball was underthrown, in stride its an easy TD) Moss and Cooley looking good
I was actually more pleased with tonight's performance then last week. Score is usually not indicative of how a team performs in a preseason game

The Redskins are going to go to the bowl, as the idiot Redskins fans here and elsewhere proclaim.
Of couse, how could they not? They have Mike Shanahan coaching? And, as they will tell you, he always fields dominate teams and goes to the Super Bowl (with the exception of every team he has ever coached that didn't have John Elway at QB).
it's hard to say whether the skins fans here or at extremeskins are more delusional..
both sets are very entertaining however.. :beer2:

I just watched the game on NFL Network. There were obvious positives and negatives for the Skins fans, as there are for any NFL fan in preseason games.
The WR they have, Armstrong, looked pretty good. They might have a solid reciever there to go with Moss.
McNabb was McNabb. You take his inconsistency with his passes for the possibility of him helping make big plays for them. He's been an upgrade for them, regardless, and that shouldn't be taken lightly.
Their O-Line, like ours, has looked up and down. Williams has shown some promise but, like expected for a rookie, has also shown some issues. It does seem that he's going to struggle a bit against serious speed rushers but, again, you can expect that out of a rookie.
Davis looked decent and will again provide a quality second TE behind Cooley. And Cooley, by the way, looks like he's recovered nicely from his injury last year and will be a good TE for them again this year.
Fat Albert did what Fat Albert does. Absolutely nothing unless a play litterally falls into his lap (see his 'sack' of Smith). He's a punk, he's over-rated (and always has been) and doesn't give one dang bit of emotion, or effort, unless he's got a big contract extention coming up to sign.
D-Hall, as anyone with a brain has been able to see for years, is still proving he's one of the worst 'superstar' corners in the league. He's easily one of the easiest starting corners in the league to pick on for multiple catches all day long. But, hey, on occassion after allowing 50 or 60 completions he'll make one of those picks so I guess that makes him awesome, right?
The Skins are going to be improved this year, and I do believe they've shown flashes of that in this preseason, so I think the Skins fans do have things to look forward to.
And I'm sure the realistic Skins fans, like most of the ones who seem to come here (at least that I've seen) aren't predicting any Superbowl trips based off anything they've seen in the preseason. Which, honestly, makes them a lot more level headed then some of our resident Cowboys fans here who seem to be predicting doom and gloom, and the sky falling, based off a couple of preseason games.

That is a fair assessment. Pretty much how I see things.
Things are better, the team will be better, but this is still an inconsistent up and down 8-8 type team at best

So, just as has been historically proven since the outset of the "rivalry", the Redskins will continue to be the inferior franchise to the Cowboys?

I think every team can take away some good things away from preseason games and I saw some positives from the Skins.
As for Skins fans, I have some questions. I guess Malcolm Kelly has an uphill battle to make the roster due to injuries, correct? Is Devin Thomas not in the running anymore for a starters spot?
Larry Johnson looks done. McNabb threw for a low percentage but he still has that arm and his legs look strong. He had a couple of plays which probably would have been sacks for Campbell but used his feet and strength to shoo off defenders. The key as it was in Philly last year is you can't let him make big plays on you. If you stop the big play, I think he has trouble making the long drive down the field. It does look like Santana is poised for a good year with Mcnabb if they stay healthy.
I thought the pass defense looked pretty good in the secondary. I still have questions about the run defense and I don't think the Ravens tried to attack this.
