Per ESPN, had surgery for his hip problem today. We play them October 17th, which is week 6. They have their bye week the same week as ours (week 4)
If he does miss half the season, he'd be a huge loss for them. is unquestionably their best WR.

And isn't the other guy having migraine issues?
At some point Farve is going to become human when it comes to QB position.
Old age + losing one's best receiver = recipe for disaster ?

Thought I seen something where the vikes were going to sign Javon Walker and could not figure out why. Now it makes more sense.

Wow, tough break for them. Didn't Percy Harvin have an issue also ?
Hurd or Roy W. might be the cure !

Also, their OL wasnt all that great last yr, and they didnt do much to upgrade it this year. It looked pretty mediocre vs SF the other night.
I think GB may end up running away with that division. Or at the least winning it by a couple games or so.

I hope we can get a 1st for Roy from the Vikes. They're going to be desperate.

Yep, they signed him today. He's been about as washed up as wahed up can get, but he's got a job again.

Do not forget that Percy Harvin is battling migraines. And from what we've been hearing as of late, they seem to be getting worse if he's passing out during practice.
So their top 2 wideouts are both in question. Welcome back Brett! :laugh2:

This is a big time blow to the Vikings, and it just about assures that the Packers will indeed win the North, imo. Furthermore, their playoff spot is in jeopardy, too. IMO
We talk about our o-line weaknesses, but Minnesota has big pass protection issues, too. They have some bigger players on their line who struggle in space. Plus, they have a center issue.
If Free was the LT last year, and Dallas had a younger, healthier upgrade at RT in that game last year, it could have been a different ball game, imo.

The smart move would be to rely on Peterson and defense during the first half the way they did before Favre joined them....but that could lead to some serious issues between Favre and Childress.

In other words, Favre will retire again, and then unretire by Week 8.

It is all set up that if they win it will all be a result of the magic of Brett Favre. If they don't well it isn't Favre's fault as his receivers are gone.

Sounds like what Aikman went through his last two seasons, losing Irvin and Galloway after the wideouts were supposed to be a strength of the team.
