OXNARD, Calif. -- The Cowboys worked in helmets and shoulder pads again Wednesday. Most of the practice was devoted to what the Houston Texans (http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4671276/cowboys-practice-report-day-10-2#comments), Saturday's fourth preseason opponent, do.

Here are the highlights.

*Stephen McGee (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=12478) ran the scout team offense vs. the first-team defense. McGee, whenever he faces the first team, is always under pressure. McGee made some good throws under pressure and moved well in the pocket. He avoided a sack to complete a pass to Scott Sicko (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=13713). Following practice, Tony Romo (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5209) and Jon Kitna (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=1383) helped McGee on his pocket presence.

*Alex Barron (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=8434) started with the first team at right tackle while Robert Brewster (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=12634) worked with the second team at left tackle. Barron, who is returning full time to practice after a sprained ankle, received most of the reps with the first team.

*In the hurry-up offense, Romo misfired on two strong throws, slants, to Roy Williams (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5532) and Patrick Crayton (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5741) in the end zone. But he did find Williams on a slant for a touchdown. Kitna was almost picked off in the end zone, but Barry Church (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=13338) dropped the interception.

*Martellus Bennett (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11295) did a nice job of beating his defender and catching a back-shoulder fade pass from Kitna.
