Rex Grossman told beat writers Ryan O'Halloran and Grant Paulsen that he would be held out of the Redskins' preseason finale.

Why would you sit your backup QB for the final preseason game unless you were concerned that he might have to be your Week 1 starter?
We all know that McNabb isn't exactly the quickest healer when he was young, much less when he's closing on 34 years old. Rollouts and boots are the bread and butter of the Shanny offense ... if he can't effectively do those, it's a big deal.
You can see the play where it happened here about 20 seconds in where he was flagged for an intentional grounding when #59 Ellerbe rolled up on his left leg.
