Nate Newton from Coop and Nate was not impressed with the performance from the Cowboys...

Nate and Coop - Aug 30 (http://cdn11.castfire.com/audio/303/2113/7247/403846/gamenight_2010-08-30-153146-3959-0-0-0.96.mp3)

The offensive line was a huge problem. That's were Nate made his money and it has to be killing him to see these guys missing blocks left and right. Andre Gurode is getting worse and worse as the days go by in my opinion. He just has lost a step now and he's always losing his man right off the snap and sometimes it looks like he doesn't even know who to block.

The video I put up of all the good plays.

I'm just messing with you. ;) Nate does have a point. The Oline has been a little suspect but I think they will come together as we get closer to the opening bell. The key is to avoid any more injuries at this point.

What pisses me off more than anything is the fact that Jerry and Co. knew going in to last season that the OL was barely serviceable and would not hold up to a strong DL,,, yet they did nothing and they still persist with this idiotic notion that they can have a strong OL staffed with lucky late round draft picks.

Nate would make a great O-line coach whenever Houck steps down. I don't know if he's interested in coaching or not, but he has the experience and motivational skills to be a great coach. I'd hate to see him on some other staff.

What more could they have done?

Leonard Davis #2 overall pick and was highest paid player in the league in 2007.

Colombo first rounder.

Barron first rounder.

Gurode top of 2nd round.

Kosier free agent and our best or 2nd best OL

Name one lucky late rounder or are you just talking w/o thinking first?

Did you watch the sideline interview? Tony looked concerned and has little confidence. On a couple of occasions, he was throwing the ball a bit too quickly.

Hos should be along to tell us he knows better than Nate, Broadus, Baldinger, etc. etc.

...and that concerns are unfounded...

Are you really trying to say Romo is all giddy about the offensive line play this preseason?

I get being a homer and thinking everything will be alright.

But don't talk like you are from Mars.

Oh excuse me COACH.. Dude you're really funny at times..:lmao2: As I always say, you provide great info but you're so over the top at times.. I think you really believe you're more knowledgable then the coaching staff at times.. You're very entertaining though COACH...

You think Tony trusts his line? You think every drop back he isnt thinking that hes going to get knocked the F out? The whole preseason, Tony hasnt been Tony. He doesnt look comfortable.

I'm sorry. You must LOVE getting one playoff game..you must LOVE just winning the division.

Get outta here homer.

This line is suspect at best the last few years. Thank god we have Romo to make that Oline better with his elusiveness.

This Oline could easily hold us out of the playoffs this year. Easily. We've looked like one of the worst teams in the league these last few weeks.

So Romo wasn't happy, Wade wasn't happy, Crayton wasn't happy, Jerry wasn't happy.

Lots of people pretty displeased with a "don't care game".

as much as I resist arguing with posters intent on misinterpreting posts, I would submit to you that I'm talking about the Cowboys draft strategy (duh)

and nevermind that the FAs you're touting were all disappointments at their previous franchises and are underwhelming now (except for maybe Kosier),,, that's another discussion,,,,

None of them got the memo that the vanilla schemes caused the o-line to not block anyone.

I am with dcf on this one, the middle of the OL is the primary weakness on this team, and the center is the main culprit.

When I heard Wade say today that Leonard Davis played well I went and stood next to my transporter.

Because if he said Gurode played well too I was gonna get in it, transport myself into the media room at Valley Ranch and knock him out of the chair.

So where are all these late round draft picks they are trying to staff the OL with.

Name one on the 2 deep roster.

Why does our long snapper have his helmet on on second down? Seems somewhere between a jinx and a failure to think positively to me.

Not getting Unger in the draft last year was a killer. He's exactly what this team desperately needs.

yep, jerry jones and wade learned last time from that draft not getting unger, that you have to trade up to get elite players, something that this team needs

so the cowboys did trade up this year to get
impact players like Dez, Lee, and Ansah
