"Troy Hambrick Sucks Thread"
I was thinking about Campo a few weeks ago.
In the run up to the Super Bowl, I watched the highlights of past Super Bowls. ESPN showed the first Dallas vs Buffalo SB. Jimmy Johnson was doing the voiceover. There was a point at halftime when Jimmy was asked if he was concerned that Buffalo had come back on the Oilers earlier in the playoffs (biggest comeback in playoff history). His response was "We're not Houston." He exuded the confidence of the team. He had that mentality of ... nobody can play with us.
The highlight film then cut to Campo on the sidelines. He was a position coach at the time. He was clapping his hands and saying “Don’t relax out there, these guys have come back before!” Campo was a good coach, but not a good head coach. He wasn’t a leader or even a motivator.
I want that swagger back. I want to see that look from the Cowboys that screams “I don’t care how motivated they are... these guys can’t play with us.” It’s the look that I see in Philly’s eyes every time they play us.

Campo's not so bad. He was a pretty good position coach and defensive coordinator, and as good a head coach as anyone could be when your primary job is to be the fall guy for Jerry. He was in over his head.
Like in the Peter Principle, he rose to the level of his incompetence and was knocked down a peg, where he will probably stay. Still, I'll bet almost everyone here would trade places with him in a heartbeat.
I wish him well.
