Can anybody provide a recap for those of us who can not listen?

It would be much appreciated!

ESPN: Are the Cowboys interested in Bledsoe, should they be interested, and would you be interested?

Archer: Yes, yes, and yes. He's better than anyone else (Garcia, Griese) and had his best years under Parcells with a good TE and Terry Glenn.

ESPN: Is he punch drunk?

Archer: He's taken a lot of hits. Looks at LOS instead of downfield sometimes. But if he's protected he might be okay. When they played here in 2003 they couldn't block the blitz at all.

Archer: But going back to the first, if it were up to me, I'd name Drew Henson my starter today.

ESPN: How is coaching staff shaping up?

Archer: Hard to tell, they haven't worked together yet. But Parcells didn't get along with Warhop. And Carthon and Payton didn't get along that well. Look who won that one. Coaches don't have to be best buddies, but last year guys didn't even have a good working relationship.

ESPN: Why did Carthon leave?

Archer: He wanted to call the plays. He's never got to do that before.

Archer:

Bledsoe over Griese
Vinny did not improve when Julius ran well... Bledsoe did when McGahee ran well... QB's are supposed to get better with a good running game
I would start Henson immediately
Bledsoe was best when he had a good TE and WR (Terry Glenn)
Buffalo thinks Losman can have a Rothlisberger year... Dallas should try the same thing but Parcells won't do it
Dallas should not throw big money at him
Coaching changes were made because the coaches weren't all on the same page (mostly with Parcells)

From what I could gather (note this is my opinion of what was said)

Dallas should do its diligence and look at Bledsoe...
Between Bledsoe and Vinny he would choose Bledsoe...

Thinks Bledsoe sucks but sucks less than Vinny
See's no other options available to Bledsoe or the Cowboys

Thinks everybody and their Mother should agree to get on with the Henson experiment...

But Bill way to bull headed and will not happen while Bill is here

Thanks guys, great recaps!

So now we know why they're willing to let Vinny go instead of bring him back under another 1-year deal and possibly go w/Bledsoe. That makes the most logical sense out of all the other arguments that have been floating around on this board.

Still would rather somebody else, but I'm resigned to it now.

Norm was just saying that it "appeard" Vinny was a priority at the end of season but now that its time to negotiate they havent said word one to him. Mentioned the fact that if he was so important why have we made deals with Scott and the likes and not VT.

Also mentioned that Holcomb seems like he is a priority for Cleveland after letting Garcia go but that they could still go after Bledsoe.

Mentioned Hasselback and said IF he happends to slip through we should forget all about Bledsoe

Nothing we dont already know for the most part. I'm going to lunch in a few so I'll miss the rest of what he has to say.

He's obsessing over a crocidile that eats people and is 6-8 feet longer than normal crocs

Thanks for the recaps guys.

I'm actually in favor of bringing in Bledsoe. I think with a running game, and Bill's scheme he would recapture some of his early success.

Of course, I also want to see Henson get a shot. But what I think a lot of folks aren't getting is that if Henson isn't the guy, this franchise is in a lot of trouble. You don't put all your eggs in one basket. For instance, what happens in Losman falls on his face. Do you just let your team struggle for years while trying to find another QB - because they don't grow on trees.

If Henson is the guy, Bill will learn that from watching him in practice, seeing his work ethic, and analyzing how he responds to things like another vet QB coming in. If he doesn't see what he wants to see there, then you can look for another QB, all while having someone helping you win right now. I really can't believe how many people are willing to lose just to see the young guy.

I didn't like hearing that stuff about the coaches though, although I suspected as much. Payton always seemed to get a little more credit - even from other GMs who were looking for coaches. I would imagine that didn't sit well with Mo.
