Redskins coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that Devin Thomas will be used sparingly on offense in Week 1.

Naturally. Thomas is a third-stringer, and will focus on returning kicks (if he even gets the nod over Brandon Banks). The former No. 34 overall pick could work his way up the depth chart eventually, but it's not happening yet.

How insane would this board be if we were the skins and we twice Passed on desean Jackson, for Devin Thomas and Fred Davis? Then two picks later took Malcolm Kelly? Hahahaha, major ruing.

The company line at ES during the offseason was that Desean would be in the same developmental stage as Thomas and Kelly if they teams were switched.
