Yeah, Al Davis is the guy you want to take character advice from.

I consider that a ringing endorsement. If you're not a malcontent in Oakland you are either just playing for the paycheck or else you are the exclusive provider of white sweatsuits in northern California.

****. If Broaddus hadn't suggested him to Bill, he might have gone after him.

I believe very little of what Broadus says about Parcells.

I heard something about this from someone else. I heard it discouraged several of the scouts.

Broadus is the man.

He's the only guy who never brings the soap opera stuff to his football talk.

Woodson has a diva attitude. He almost didn't sign with Green Bay because of it. No surprise Parcells didn't want him.

Yeah, Al Davis is the guy you want to take character advice from.

Yeah, a high character owner that cost his team wins because he had a beef with, and sat, his best player (Marcus Allen).

Woodson is a Diva. Frankly not someone I would want on the team.

Broadus is not inerrant.

But he knows more football than anyone on this board.

The gap between an NFL insider and anyone else (even a college coach) is pretty huge.

And the game has changed to such an extent that he even you played or coached for the Cowboys fifteen or twenty years ago...a lot of that knowledge isn't so relevant now.

I was just barely able to stomach Deion because he was the best lock down CB I ever saw. Woodson is nowhere near as good a player and not worth the headache.

What's the story on Broaddus? Why'd he leave the Cowboys scouting department and scouting in general?

I usually look forward to his articles. He has a background in the game so he brings more than the writers ever will. He seems honest and, from what I can tell, doesn't have an axe to grind. Obviously, there are some on here that must feel otherwise, but I haven't seen it.

remember no one is perfect and no one calls them all right. So yeah this guy is very good but the rule is the same for him as for every other expert.

I'm a big fan of Broadus and his insights.

I check for his posts regularly. He's one of the best out there, IMO.

an exact opposite of the cowturd, dumbdukes, etc. But never take one source for the gospel on anything- always have multiples.

As a friend once said to me: "if 25 people you know tell you that you are drunk, its time to borrow a quarter and lay down in the gutter"

Just the people that can't handle criticism of the team.

He ought to be a diva, he's one of if not the best defensive player of our time and a possible HoFer.

BS about being the best Def Player of our time. And no one OUGHT to be a diva; that is frankly stupid.

Has he been a Diva since he went to GB? I know he was something of a malcontent in Oakland. I haven't anything about Woodson other than all that money he donated last year to that Children's hospital (http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/11/26/woodson-donates-2-million-to-hospital/).

I dont follow BB but I think i know is it is easy to bring up all the players you liked that you wanted the cowboys to sign or draft. Sure i wanted dallas to draft Chris Johnson. Its easy to say that now that he is a superstar. But i will not mention the 10 other bums i also wanted them to draft that are not even in the league any more.

I also wanted them to draft Drew Brees back in the day...... You see how easy that is and how smart and insightful i must be.

Every one of us could do what BB says he did. Its easy to mention could have's and use 20/20 hindsight. But point out the balance of misses at the same time otherwise you just come across as a know it all blow hard.

He is not a Diva at all in Green bay. The fans here love him. Overate him though.

He doesnt lock anyone down, he sometimes covers the best wr sometimes the worse. Sometimes he plays FS. He makes plays though.

makes plays yes. Greatest D player of our time- NOT EVEN CLOSE.
