To start for a NFL team.
He has been gone from football for 3 years. and he just came back last year.
In My opinion it will take him at least 2 years, (possibly 3)to get all of that rust off him, and when he is finally ready he can start.
All we are doing now is finding veteran QB's to fill that void untill Henson is ready, which will probably be in 2006.
Parcells knows we have something special in Henson thats why he is keeping him around, and he knows when he is ready, he will be a star in this league.

Listen to me man...Football is not brain surgery...Do you think Henson's Brains is in his butt and sitting on the bench and scratching his brain will help one little bit

Glad to hear that from an expert such as yourself. Someone who has watched his developement daily and knows first hand exactly what the Cowboys have. Please make sure you make a note of this for Jerry and Bill

Henson is nothing more than a high school QB and a waste of time.

That's what I hear every time I hear someone say that "Henson is our future".
That is so laughable.
The guy is so far from being "our future" it's funny.

Nobody really knows for sure if Henson is ready or not. We could have found out more at the end of last year, but Bill wanted to make sure Vinny got more experience for retirement.
I'll say this. Is Henson ready? No.
Is he ready to start playing and learning on the fly? Yes.

I bet he "likes" Tony Dixon too. . .
Until he finds somebody to replace him.
I believe everything Parcells says. .
He "likes" him so much, he played a 41 year old QB instead. .
The writing is on the wall.
Parcells thinks Henson is a clown.

I'm going to try to not be sarcastic here...But how can anyone definitively know whether Henson is or is not the future around here? I just don't understand it?

No one can, but people can be hopeful that he will be successful and live up to the hype.

The only way you lose rust is to get live action, not running the scout team
:banghead: It's time to sink or swim with him,not bring in another Vet has been QB to delay henson's progress :grrr:

You mean my ars isn't a hole in the ground?
Seriously Dumbsday, Henson won't be named the starter while Parcells is here. His days are numbered in Dallas. He won't put his last two years on the line with a guy who has played only one year out of high school.
Henson may start, but only because whoever (most likely Bledsoe) he named the starter got injured and could not play.
Henson will not start while Parcells is here.
Put this with the other 100 things I told you so on.

Ben you have been wrong most of the time, really your just to full of yourself, you do not know more than anyone else at this site though you obviously think you do. Bottom line is you nor I know what Parcells will or will not do regarding Henson. Yes Henson has been away from the game, so what Staubach was away from the game just as long. Right now the ball is in Henson court he has to show Parcells that he is ready to take over this job and I think Parcells is giving him that chance to prove it which is why he is staying in Dallas and not going to NFL Europe

It is statements like this that make you look foolish. "Parcells thinks Henson is a clown" say what you mean You think Henson is a clown but you have no clue as to what Parcells thinks so don't even go there.

Dooms, I have been right a lot more than you and that's a fact. I've known you for years and what I remember most is telling you "I told you so".
You're a dreamer, not a realist.
I see things more logically. You see things more wishfully.
IF Parcells was going to give Henson "his shot", wouldn't he have done it last year when nothing was on the line, rather than next year when the season is on the line and the final days of his coaching career are winding down?
All I'm asking is for you to use some logic and common sense. The writing is on the wall regarding Henson. Parcells actions regarding Henson - moving him to 3rd string in favor of Romo should tell you something - tells me all I need to know.
BTW, your run on sentences give me a headache.

Bill Parcells just doesn't want to pay the price of bringing up an inexperienced QB. He's wasted two years and if he has to use Henson he's staring at a good 9-10 games of pain before being able to seriously evaluate him.
I believe after 9 or 10 games with a solid supporting cast you can tell if your QB is good or not. BP doesn't want to do that, and a guy like Bledsoe could take over for two seasons which would be long enough from BP's perspective.

Trying to read Parcells mind. Say what you mean but don't try to tell me that this is what Parcells thinks because you don't have a clue. You keep putting 2 and 2 togther and coming up with 6 bottom line is your giving your opinion and nothing more.
