No one seems to say much about this guy. I didn't watch him play much but his numbers are very impressive.
My ideal draft would be Merriman and Spears. I like Merriman and Spears as DEs in our 4-3 and Merriman at OLB with Spears at LDE in our 3-4. I doubt that we could get both of those guys (Spears & Merriman) but...
what if we got Merriman at #11 and Shaun Cody at #20? Cody has played both DT and DE and has good size. I think he would make a good LDE in a 3-4 as well as a 4-3 LDE and/or DT.
Any thoughts?
