All I see is the players that you really want and would spend the $$$$ on are getting franchised left and right.
The cream of the crop we where hoping for is going to be water down 2nd and 3rd tier vet.
I do not see a TO in the group at this point. I do not see any young under 30+ stud 3-4 or 4-3 dlinemen hitting the market
The best LT that had a chance of hitting the market is about to reup with the Seahawks
So why again is this 20 million and throwing it around like monoply money so great. I do not see it not one bit all the hype you are going on about FA. The only two players that played up to the contract in FA was Berry of AZ and TO who was not really a FA. Kearse and Winfield where not worth what they got for what they gave there teams in play.

Not at all, the ones that were gonna be tagged is no big shock, theres still alot of good tallent out, as for the TO thing - I hope we go after Burress, at 6-5 220 hes a very deep big threat. Just think Key and him lined up together, just throw it up, one of them will go up and get it.

You can't have a star at every position. Having a 2nd tier guy is not bad if the guy is productive. We've got enough 3rd tier guys that I don't think you'll have to worry about it.
I think the plus to this offseason is that there are so many quality guys that will hit the market. Maybe not the "name" guys, but good players nonetheless.

Its generally not the team with the best top 5 players on their roster than wins the Championship, but rather the team with the best top 30 on a roster.
There are plenty of players out there who could upgrade our top 30.

Kearse and Winfield where not worth what they got for what they gave there teams in play. the point of FA is not to go after this big name guys and spend every penny you have, but to go get players who will be productive do excatl what they need to do for a good price, i see plenty of players out there for that. We dont need stars we need a team.
New England before the first superbowl, really could u name more than 5 players on that team, how many did u see in the pro bowl, how many have you heard of before, my point you need a team, not a bunch of overpriced players who were suppose to play good or we'd be the skins

This is true...not only that, but some of the names this year are huge upgrades for us...any of the CB's I listed...a few FS out there. Spinkle Pat Williams with a promising rookie...add Bell or Hartwell...guess what...we have a serious D.

Pat Williams - Just what we need
Ferguson - Just what we need
Ed Hartwell - Just what we need
Kendred Bell - Over hyped, but I'll take him
Lucas - Lord, please let us get him
Demps - Light years better than what we had last season
Smith - Please let us get him.
Baxter - better at safety, but I'll take him
A. Henry - Up and comer. Gimme.
Mathis - I'll take him
Woodsen - He'll be overpriced
Andruzzi - I'd love to have him
Porter - Very good
Burress - better than anything we had last year
Blaylock - Nice complement to JJ.
Kareem McKenzie - Please he'd be perfect.
Mayberry - Very, very good. He'll cost a lot for a G.
Trotter - He'd be a great run stuffer in a 3-4.
Yup, I think there's still plenty to get excited about...

I know I'm excited for FA to start...that and the fact Jerrah has said they are not going to sit back this year...get the popcorn out.
I'm hoping by week one we have CB, FS, RT, and DT signed...at a minimum.
If we do that...it opens the doors for the draft...like WR, which is on my wish list!...but not priority.

Chris Claiborne is going to get some play, I'd bet.
I'd take a long hard look at Victor Riley at RT.
I wouldn't be totally shocked to see us use one of our #1's on trading for a franchised guy if he's young and fills a huge need, specifically Abraham.

Ferguson is almost signed and will have at least the next step below franchise tag slapped on him. Because the jets have already franchised Abraham.
