I am looking for some honest evaluation on several players, and if you think there is any chance they could help the Cowboys. These are O-Lineman, and I just do not watch much individual O-Line play when watching other teams besides the Cowboys. Actually a couple of these guys are ex-Cowboys, but are all grown up now. I know all of them by name, but just do not really know their level of play.

Can any of these guys help us?
And if you are familar with any of them please share your observations.

TACKLES -
Jonas Jennings
Kareem McKenzie
Oliver Ross
Ryan Diem
Stockar McDougle
Victor Riley

GUARDS -
Joe Andruzzi
Ron Stone
Marco Rivera
Jermaine Mayberry

I'll give you my two cents worth...

TACKLES -
Jonas Jennings - I don't know enough to talk about him
Kareem McKenzie - I think he'd be a great RT for us. Much better than Tucker.
Oliver Ross - I think he's okay... I like McKenzie better.
Ryan Diem - A little bit of a finess guy for RT, but still much better than Tucker.
Stockar McDougle - Pass
Victor Riley - I don't know enough to talk about him

GUARDS -
Joe Andruzzi - I love the guy and think he'd fit in nicely and we wouldn't be lost when Allen is gone.
Ron Stone - Best days are too far behind him. I'd pass.
Marco Rivera - Solid, player. Good in space.
Jermaine Mayberry - Very solid, but likely will cost more than I'd like to spend at guard.

That's all JMO of course.

Jonas Jennings

2004:
Started at left tackle vs. Jax. (9/12/04), and helped surrender only one sack on QB Drew Bledsoe…started at LT at Oak. (9/19)…started at LT vs. NE (10/3) but left the game with a concussion in the third quarter…started at LT at NYJ (10/10)…was inactive with an ankle injury vs. Mia. (10/17), at Bal. (10/24)…returned to the starting lineup vs. AZ (10/31) and played a large role in allowing zero sacks for the first time since 9/14/03, and also RB Willis McGahee's 102-yard rushing performance…vs. NYJ (11/7), Jennings and the offensive line allowed zero sacks on Drew Bledsoe for the second straight game, and also led the way for Willis McGahee's 132 yards rushing…started at NE (11/14)…started vs. St.L (11/21) and helped pave the way for Willis McGahee's 100 yards rushing…started at LT at Sea. (11/28), and held Seahawks DE Grant Wistrom from recording a sack…also helped pave the way for Willis McGahee's four rushing touchdowns; the most by a Bill since 1979…left the game with an injured shoulder but later returned…played through injury at Mia. (12/5) and helped hold Dolphins DE Jason Taylor without a sack for the second straight game...helped pave the way for Willis McGahee's sixth 100-yard rushing performance of the season vs. Cle. (12/12)…started at LT at Cin. (12/19)…played large role in the offensive line continuing its outstanding job protecting QB Drew Bledsoe, as the line only gave up one sack at SF (12/26)…started at LT vs. Pit. (1/2/05).

I think Mckenzie is the best option for us...

I think moving Tucker inside to Guard, his natural position, and signing a fairly young, proven FART is the best long-term answer. It also gives us Lehr, Gurode, and Peterman to back up Allen and Tucker and/or replace Allen later on...considering Gurode gets better and Peterman is still in the league in two years, which I'm not yet convinced he will be (I hope I'm wrong).

I read today that Diem is very close to re-signing with the Colts...
