This was a terrible loss to the Rams today. Team lacks quite a bit of talent.

This will take a while

Also, it would be a ***** move not to show up today. Congrats on your win over Houston

I picked us at max 7-9 this year. Got a bit more optimistic after last week and thought we could get to 4-4, 5-3 at the bye.

Now its pretty obvious that the talent deficiency on this team will hamstrung it the rest of the year. 7-9 at best, but I can realistically only find 4 more wins on this schedule

I thought McNabb looked a lot like the QB the Cowboys whipped up on last year, espicially in the second half. He seemed tired of trying to extend the play using his feet and he made some poor throws when the first receiver was covered. Maybe he is too old.

On the other hand, they beat us. Skinz have good coaching so that's going to account for something. We'll see how the whole thing plays out but at this point, I'd have to say that the NFC East is among the worst, if not the worst, division in football.

The NFC East was overrated this year for sure but Shanahan will have them back in shape... They overlooked St. Louis gearing up for the big showdown in Philly.

The NFC is in a log jam sans the team that wins the game tonight between the Bears and Packers.

No team can be overlooked right now.

Shanahan's last three years in Denver his team had a .500 record overall. Bottom line is that team underachieved for the most part. Do I think he's a good coach yes. Do I think he's in the league with some of the truly great ones no. Facts are facts. He won nothing after Elway retired. There's a reason he was fired by Denver.

This i do believe because i remember you and another Skins poster were happy about the offseason moves, but took the longer term approach about it.

In fact, not having to be nice just to be nice. Yesterday was a speed bump and early too, thats when you want your mistakes and stuff. WE are not out of Sept til next week and Shanahan knows he has a lot of wrinkles to address.

No big loss and better earlier than down the road.

I think you will finish ahead of the Giants. I think they will be bottom barrel this year in the NFCE.

Skins have the last head to head victory to crow about a little now, but this is pretty embarrassing.

Washington Redskins: The 30-16 loss (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/boxscore?gid=20100926014) to the Rams is nothing new for a team that has had a horrible calendar year. The Rams, amazingly, had lost 27 of 28 and 10 in a row (http://www.stltoday.com/sports/columns/bryan-burwell/article_14e8e5e0-a57c-5d56-a8f0-57e1ca2216a0.html). More futility from the Redskins: Sept 27, 2009 (http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=290927008): Lost to the Detroit Lions, who had lost 19 straight games and 25 of their previous 26 games. October 18, 2009 (http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=291018028): Lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, who had lost nine straight games and 28 of their previous 30 games. If you see a matchup between the Washington Generals (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/joe_posnanski/02/01/washington.generals/index.html) and the Washington Redskins on the schedule, here's a tip. Take the Generals and the points.

You are a class act. It was strange game, but we're also seeing the emergence of a Rams team that's beginning to get it's legs under it. I'm afraid all the trading away of draft picks may be coming back to haunt Mr Snyder. The mood at ES must be a bit testy.

I guess you really do need more than just hiring Shanny and Bruce Allen...

Skins are a better team this year than last year. I would rather us play Campbell rather than Mcnabb. But recently we have had Mcnabb's number.

Yup, like new players

I am not quite jumping off the bridge because I knew this team needed lots of work, and also realize that the NFL is a strange creature.

One week you can look awful and the next week come out and look unstoppable. I picked the Cowboys to beat Houston and wouldn't be surprised if we somehow beat Philly.

In the end though, a lack of talent and depth will now allow the Redskins to get beyond .500 this year.

We shouldn't have switched to a 3-4 with this personnel. Our linebackers are putrid, even Fletcher isn't his usual self. Andre Carter is a horrible OLB, and the main reason why we can't stop anyone is because our DL is undersized and our LB's are oversized and slow, lol.

Next time please give them that message before they play Dallas! :p:

its obvious that Shannahan is a good coach trying to whip and hodge podge of players still scarred from twelve previous administrations into a team. I don't think the loss to StL was that bad, Sam Bradford is already better than half the QBs in the league and StL has had top five draft picks for about the last 8 years so they aren't as untalented as people think. I don't think the Skins have looked completely lost and confused as a team with Shanny so far like they did a lot during the last few coaching staffs.
I know Shanny wanted the Dallas job, it would've been a real great deal IMO if we could've brought in him as HC and demoted Wade to DC. The only time Wade has us playing well is when his job is clearly on the line.
