All that crap they talked all week and the stands were empty by the 4th quarter. Whatever happened to supporting your big bad 2-0 team? Surely they're so great that they can make a comeback and you want to stick around and see it, right?
The rivalry is one-sided, but I am so glad the Cowboys won this game. The Texans were gonna beat up big brother and the best team in Texas wasn't the Cowboys. Blah, blah, blah. We shut them up for another 4 years. I love it.

Yeah. They're not true fans. They won a couple of games early on, and they started feeling themselves.
I heard earlier in the week that Andre Johnson guaranteed a victory against the Cowboys. Fans heard this, and they just couldn't help themselves. They were so sure their team would win the game.
They may have an improved team, but they are still the armpit of Texas.

I admit that I did not think the boys would pull this one out...the way they were playing and the Texans were sky high..... Kinda reminds me of the Saints game last year when the boys went into the Superdome and saved their season as well. Oh well, congrats ..hope this kickstarts our SB run. :D

I've lived in Houston. Pearland to be specific. The Houston Texans don't really have fans. Houston is such a transient city that you rarely meet someone who was born and raised there.
They will always have fair weather fans because it is the nature of their city.

Same with Arizona. Cowboys always have 40-50% representation in Cardinal Stadium. Looked like there was a ton of Raider fans at the Cards game today.

Being a cowboys fan in Houston makes this win sweeter. They talked soo much all week and to see them filing out and cowboys fans chanting was the cherry on top of the cowboys smacking them around.
The best part was their pre game radio complaining about there being over 20,000 cowboys fans at the stadium...they finally realized why Dallas is Americas team.
Then getting to watch the game with mainly Texan fans as they sat in silence almost the whole game was priceless!

You are hardest on what you love. The fans here love the team so much that every flaw is magnified. Every penalty is the end of the world. Every first down is life and death. We can criticize cause our intention is good (well most of us), ESPN/NFL critics are just haters who probably watch 1-2 cowboys game a year and just repeat haterspeak "romo can never win a big game"/"defense is soft"/"coach is cupcake" etc.

I don't pretend to understand the psyche of those particular fans. I think some want failure just to spark change in the direction that they feel the team should go in.
I always support my team, win or lose. I will poke fun at them and be critical of them, but I don't wish failure on the Cowboys just for the sake of change.
We've seen coaches and players come and go over the years. I believe there is a limit to what a coach can bring. At some point, the players have to want to win. Just like they wanted it today.

In all fairness, Romo can never win a big game because all are big games until he wins, then it wasn't a big game. The big games only stay big games when he loses.

Actually the Texans have a loyal fanbase there in Houston. They sell out every game and they do have those cool games where the fans wear all white or blue or whatever.
I never cared for the Oilers much but I think it's a crime for an NFL team that was as well supported by the city to move. The Oilers were well supported. I think eventually Houston will be better off with the Texans. Better ownership and all that.
Can't believe the Dome is just sitting there rotting. That's horrible.

Cant blame some of those that said that. Hey you go 0-2 and all of a sudden you start believing what everyone starts saying about you. You want the coaches fired cause you care more about the team than them. You question if your undrafted QB can ever be successful at the superbowl level.

True. I have sat here and saw people praising Singletary because he has fire well? Well he also throws players under the bus where most coaches do take the heat for mistakes their players make. As they were saying before the Jets game when the Jets screw up it is Rex taking the heat not dumping on the player that is also what Wade does he would rather face the fire than to dump on his player to the media

FOX was showing a clip of wade in the locker room acting like what a coach is supposed to be like. A leader of the team and demanding of his players. I assumed his lockerroom demeanor was different but its nice to actually see it. It's just hard defending the guy on the forums with all those penalties, a sloppy unprepared team, and a horrible record. If he is able to turn this season around, get another playoff win I dont see how he should lose his job.
Its easy to think 'damn, if we had a hard *** guy like singletary these players would appreciate the game more.' 49ers are 0-3 this year. Im sure they love football, but they suck.

No kidding. Down right disrespectful, fairweatherish, and pathetic. But they are the so called realists who like to bring it.
And during a bad stretch, when you try and defend your team, et cetera, you are called a homer, or a conformist. How dare we try and be supportive and show our team some love during some dark days. It's sickening.
As I have stated before, it's more fun being a fan than a critic. When you act like those so called fans who have been hating on the Cowboys since the start of preseason, you have to tear down anything good and spin it in a negative light. Guess it makes em' feel better.
So here's to all you realists out there who didn't get to gloat in a Cowboy's loss :toast: Take this win and shove it straight up your ***! Maybe the blockage will temporarily blur your hate for a couple of weeks.

I wanted the Boys to win I did not think it was going to happen big difference from wanting them to lose. I do not trust the Head Coach and frankly never have and while the win was great and even unexpected. I am still not totally sold on this team just yet I want to see this team keep it up when the pressure is on when expectations are high. This was a must win and their best game of the year they still need to clean up some penalty issues. I call this progress now can they repeat the performance ?

I agree. I'm clearly a die hard fan however I have no problem saying when a player makes a mistake that hurt us but I'm not looking to put my own pet cat in the game what I look for and what I hope for is guys learning from mistakes and cutting down on making mistakes. I think those who go into the over reaction rants look like fools when they do that. We lose and there are 5 or 6 threads talking about firing wade or who the next HC will be.

I don't think the win was unexpected at all. The media sure made it out to be that way. The media brainwashed many in here in believing that it just wasn't going to happen against Houston. That the Cowboys weren't even the best team in Texas. That there was turmoil and division in the locker room. Panic was running amuck.
Now that's some funny stuff.

I'll be the first to admit that I was one that thought the Cowboys were going into a buzz saw today and I can't say loudly enough how glad I am that I was totally wrong.
I still don't think this team should have to have their backs to the wall to play as well as they did today. Perhaps Wade has a notion now of just how to coach this team and we'll approach every game with purpose and some swagger like they did today.
The Texans aren't some pushover team. I'm really proud of the Cowboys. And glad I was wrong. Now they need to carry this to the Titans game.
