When is the Pro Day for Mike Williams or USC going to be held? There have been rumors of Dallas trying to get into the Randy Moss sweepstakes, but I think that Williams 40 times will play a huge roll in where he is taken in the draft and might even negate the thoughts of trading for a cancer like Moss (if rumors were true) if Dallas is in a position to draft him.

he'll probably workout at USC's pro day. here's what was on nfl.com

Williams' weight also is a big topic for debate among scouts who can't seem to fathom a wideout carrying over 235 pounds on a 6-foot-5 frame. (He played his sophomore year around 238, but got down to 228 last spring.) He says he is at 229 these days and has run as fast as a 4.43 in the 40, although he concedes that was on a fast track. Anything 4.55 or faster probably would vault him into the top 10, especially considering Williams will vertical-jump somewhere around 37 inches.

His vertical jump doesn't matter as much as the actual height he can get to and touch. He could only have a 30" vertical but with his 6'5 frame and wingspan, he could still go up and get a ball thrown 11-12 feet in the air (not to mention the size of his catcher mitt sized hands). How many 5'8-6'0 CBs can stop that in the back of the endzone?
