did you all see him square up and stop Adrian Peterson at the goalline in the dolphins vs vikings game. If only he was more physical like that at the point of attack. I mean he still stood their and waited for AP but atleast he made the stop(with the aid of teammates).

Carp rueage...figures.....Not that Carp was 'all that' but I do think we miss him as the nickle LB. Brooking is sucking mud at that task...So yeah...a little Carp rueage

Did you see him get smoked for a TD to the TE?

He belongs in Miami - aka: the ghost of Cwboys past.

I guess the main question would be, if the Cowboys had it to do over again, knowing what they do now with not wanting Sean Lee to be the nickel LB, would Bobby Carpenter have made the team.

If the answer is no, then the trade is of no concern.

Alex Barron sucks though and should be cut!

The truth is that the team that traded for Barbie cut him. Miami has no choice but to play Barbie because uncle Bill is in charge. You actually think the D coordinator in Miami wants him?

No Bill in Miami = Barbie out of the NFL.

I saw him run from over the center where he was faking the blitz, run back and get in position to at least face guard the TE, and get beat by a perfect throw and a missing safety....yeah.

Carpenter was soft as cotton but i always thought he was very good at defending RBs/TEs out of the backfield.

The interference calls? Our defense played maybe the best offense in the league to six points that mattered last week. Brooking's doing ok for us, even in the nickle. It would be nice if one of our recent high picks could earn some PT at ILB, though.

This.

It's amazing how much one big interference call can completely wipe clean any good play that may have taken place before it.

...and I see the misinformation on Lee has reared its head in this thread too. I'm thinking a lot of people will be singing a different tune about that kid by season's end.

I'm guessing you're right re: Lee.

When you're opinions are based on nothing, it makes it easy to change them, at least.

Didn't Parcells step down? Or is that at the end of the season that he is?
