Carolina Panthers (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/carolina-panthers/67063) receiver Dwayne Jarrett (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/dwayne-jarrett/469595) has been arrested for driving while impaired for the second time in less than three years.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spokesman Bob Fey says Jarrett was pulled over on I-77 in Charlotte shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday. No other details were immediately available. He was released on $2,000 bond.
Panthers (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Panthers-WR-Jarrett-facing-another-DWI-charge-100510#) spokesman Charlie Dayton says the team is aware of the arrest and ''gathering more information.'' It wasn't immediately clear if Jarrett had hired an attorney.
Jarrett pleaded guilty to DWI after a March 2008 arrest in the Charlotte suburb of Mint Hill.
The 2007 second-round pick has had a disappointing four-year career in Carolina and has failed to crack the starting lineup (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Panthers-WR-Jarrett-facing-another-DWI-charge-100510#) this season.
