IRVING – Back in July, so many questions surrounded Doug Free.
On a line with two Pro Bowlers and two other solid veterans, Free was stepping in at left tackle and replacing one of the most decorated if criticized offensive lineman the Cowboys have produced in Flozell Adams.
Many wondered how wise it was for a team viewed as so close to a Super Bowl to entrust Tony Romo's blindside to a player with hardly any left tackle experience.
