IRVING -- It was an uncomfortable Felix Jones who encountered reporters last week at the Dallas Cowboys' Valley Ranch training complex.

He was boxed in. Sweat ran down his forehead. There was nowhere to run.
Jones, a quiet sort, has said all the right things since coming to Dallas as the 22nd pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. And the former Arkansas running back was trying to choose his words carefully.

With a matchup today against the Tennessee Titans, Jones knew the inevitable comparisons to running back Chris Johnson were coming.

I wonder how big of a set Garrett has? We will see since both his owner and head coach have made it clear they want to see Felix more.....

Coach Wade Phillips was mildly surprised when told that Garrett declined to offer the company line of more carries for Jones.

"He didn't say it? Well, he calls the plays," Phillips said. "We want to get Felix the ball more than we have the first three games because of the way he came off last year. We will see."

Even the Cowboys coaches can't agree on a plan for him.

And Stephen on the Special Edition show last night basically said he wanted Felix to get more carries, too.

Had to run earlier, but I just read that very nice article by Hill. Thought this part was sad:

For the record, Jones has Chris Johnson-like goals. He would love to get the bulk of the carries, rush for 2,000 yards and a bunch of touchdowns.

But he has resigned himself to knowing that probably won't happen in Dallas.

"Realistically? Yeah, I do [have personal goals]," Jones said. "But realistically, it probably won't happen."

Felix is such a great guy and teammate, he's not ever going to complain. But he knows he could be a big time back in this league if he got a chance.

Felix Jones should get the ball 20 times a game... I don't care!
