Yeah, I'm going there. In your opinion, what are our top 3 to 5 draft priorities, and if you could have your way, who would you take at that position?
For Me:
1. Cornerback - Patrick Peterson, LSU
Honorable Mention - Rahim Moore, UCLA
2. Running Back - LaMichael James, Oregon
Honorable Mention - Jacquizz Rogers, Oregon State
3. Offensive Guard - Barrett Jones, Alabama
Honorable Mention - Justin Boren, Ohio State

Lamichael James is a sophomore. Would much rather have demps from florida anyway. At safety- deunta Williams or jeron Johnson. Corner- Patrick peterson or prince.... Rahim Moore is a safety and he hasn't loomed that impressive at all this year

I would like to see 2 of the first three used on the o-line . D-line will have to be considered depending on resigning Spears and Bowen. Might not be a bad time to trade down from the first and try to pick up more second and third round picks.

1. Cornerback
2. Quarterback....
3. Linemen
QB: No its not Romo hate, but we look really far from being a great team and he will be 31 at the start of next year

We need 2 OL and a CB in any order the first three rounds.

I doubt any of us are sold on the depth at ILB.
Brooking is fast approaching the end of his accomplished career. B. James has been at it a while. Even if Lee stays healthy and develops into a player, there isn't anybody else who inspires much confidence.
So if your BPA in one of the early rounds is an ILB, I say do it (rather than reaching for another need pick).
I've got no particular names in mind.

Do you actually see QB as a bigger need than rebuilding the o-line ?

1. OL
2. CB
3. S
4. RB ( I think Barber and Choice could be gone after this season)

whats the toughest position to Draft besides QB
LT
I say we go after a LT or we fall in the top 10
we can pick up a FS a CB an DE in the later rounds

I actually think the team is set at LT. Free is only 26 and has been playing very well there.
I think it's a mistake to try to get cute and draft a LT and move free back to the right side. Free is a natural LT. I was surprised at how well he played on the right side, but I don't want to move him back.
C, G and RT should be the line positions of focus.

not saying we do that - put Sherrod at RT
an if nothing then we have a swing tackle in house

1st round - CB, S, or ILB
2nd round - best RT or RG available
3rd round - C
4th round - CB or S (whichever one you didn't get in the 1st)
7th round - best kicker available that can kickoff too. If we're gonna develop another young kicker, I'd at least want it to be someone who is polished from college or a Lou Groza winner

I really think we got our Center

OL, OL, OL, and OL.
if not any of those choices, I'd go with S or CB. Secondary is paper thin right now.
Other than that, I don't care, I think our team is pretty solid minus those couple of areas.

I think Phil Costa fights for that right as early as next training camp.

If we continue crashing and burning, and endup 4-12 as the "realists" predict, yes. Trade Romo in a mcnabbish trade and rebuild if thats what happens.

Trade Romo
You do not trade franchise QB's.
Ever.

1st pick, draft an LT...he an Free compete and the loser gets the RT spot.
2nd pick, Center who can play guard.

Fair point, but if we have to go through a rebuilding process, thats a year or two atleast, by then Romos 33.

What is there to rebuild? The OL and S positions? That won't take two years. Jerry has seats to fill. Romo is the face of the franchise.

True, but I would argue Ware is more of a "draw" than Romo. but that can't be proven.

I think that's a little drastic. The Eagles had their QB of the future who they thought was ready now...that's why they got rid of McNabb in that trade.
I just don't think Stephen McGee is the future starting QB for this team and even if he is, I know he isn't ready to play now or even next year.

Little harsh don`t you think ? Addressing the o-line with the first two picks is what should have been done way before now. Waiting for the late rounds and picking project players has not worked out so great.

If Romo & Ware were signing autographs who's do you go for? I know personally I go for Ware.
