WEEKLY STOCK REPORT
http://www.jbscouting.com/index.php/blog/1207-stock-report-oct31
MOVING UP
DE Jabari Fletcher, Appalachian State- With all of the buzz on FS Mark LeGree, OLB DJ Smith, and even WR CoCo Hillary most have forgotten Fletcher but the NFL has not overlooked him. Fletcher has gained significant weight up to 274 pounds at 6’2 ¼. Fletcher returned a fumble recovery 40 yards for a touchdown in their win over Furman on Saturday and has tallied 40 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, an interception, three pass breakups, eight quarterback hurries, four fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble through eight games. He was given a borderline tryout grade entering the season but has since been upgraded to a 4.40 (FA).
WR Courtney Smith, South Alabama- Smith is a big kid (6040, 230) who transferred from UAB and has played his way on to the NFL radar. Through eight games he leads the undefeated Jaguars with 26 catches for 412 yards and five touchdowns (15.8ypc). Smith is a player to keep tabs on as he could potentially land in a camp and would be an interesting developmental prospect due to his size and big play ability. He was not even on the radar as a potential prospect entering the season but is now a 4.40 (FA).
TE Julius Thomas, Portland State- Thomas is a 6’5, 240 pound tight end who has produced well this season with 23 catches for 387 yards and two touchdowns through eight games. Thomas has likely gone from a borderline reject to a solid free agent grade.
