Cowboys out of timeouts, can't challenge fumble call

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Finding a positive in this Dallas Cowboys season is like finding water in the desert. In the midst of sandstorms, blistering heat and hopelessness, something good appears -- and it's a mirage.
With Akwasi Owusu-Ansah sidelined with a high ankle sprain, former SMU defensive back Bryan McCann took over kick returning duties. It was an immediate upgrade.
Owusu-Ansah may eventually make the transition from Division II star to a solid NFL player because of excellent athletic skills. But on kickoff returns this season, he's been a straight-ahead runner.
