View Full Version : Henson threads are growning old
All of the Henson threads are growing old. I know I am creating one now, but for god sake, I am tired about reading them. None of us are at Valley Ranch watching this guy day in and day out. When he got his first chance to play, he played garbage time against the Ravens. Then he plays against a crummy Bears team and looks terrible.
Maybe he isn't ready? I am glad we at least have a vet that can play. I would be a lot more worried with him starting this season, sorry. So here is to 2006!

Oh just wait. Remember, we're still in February.
We have a long way to go.

IMO, what's really getting old is this business of posting a rebuk of this type and then, in the same breath, doing the same thing your condeming.
Henson may indeed suck. He may not be the answer but it is stupidity to follow this up with a quote that says, "I am glad we at least have a vet that can play."
There is no guarantee on Bledsoe and how well he will play. As for the Vet, well, we had one of those last year as well.
Relax Zack

A crummy Bears team???
They have a pretty good front seven for a crummy team.
The playcalling was awfull with Henson.
Bledsoe was awfull for the Bills. The VET needs to play much better.
Don't buy the second half of their season, look at the team they played against.

I thought I spelled that out for you.."I know I am creating one now, but for god sake, I am tired about reading them." Forgive me. I wasn't behind Vinny last year for the record. Over the past three years, Bledsoe had one bad season. So I base my opinion on that and for the fact that he is familiar with the offense. So yes, I would rather have him than a guy that is nothing more than hype.

Hmmmmm...isn't this a "Henson" thread? :)
OK...just kidding...
The way I see it, no problem...if people have stuff they want to get off their chests, go for it...
Remember how off the wall things were with QC threads?
This pales in comparison...

Whatever. I thought the point of your post was to say that you were tired of the very crap your doing. Instead, you are starting another he's better and then following it up with the same tired justifications. The truth is that both pretty much suck.
Sorry, I miss diagnosed the initial post. I didn't realize it was just another flame war executed through stealth. I will try to play closer attention.

I really love how so many of the Carter backers, are giving up on Henson after a half of football. This after making the, "It takes 3 to 4 years excuse," for Quincy.

No problem. I didn't mean to be stealthy :D Seriously though, it is going to be a long off season, but it is better than watching baseball. :)

Even funnier.....Parcells is pretty much making the same excuse for Drew Henson and most Henson annointers want to run Parcells out of town.
Different players same story. Different situations same labels.

The big difference is we got to see Carter play for 3 years, Parcells might make us WAIT 3 years on Henson.
Interesting that anyone that would like to see what we have in Henson is labled a whiner or an anointer. ;)

I dunno your definition of a bad season...I'd consider anything over an 80 a fairly good season
Over the past 6, he's had one good season....5 of the last 6 years, his rating has been in the 70's
He's been sacked 240 times in his last 2500 attempts...twice the amount of times for Vinny in the same amount of attempts.
Not good.
Would I rather have Bledsoe than Vinny? I suppose...but that's not saying much.

Don't forget, he's still a rookie, because he has only played 15 games in 2 years. :D

Hype is the perfect word for the Henson issue.
I've been tired of hearing about this clown for atleast a year.

What difference??? Last time I checked both were proven methods of developing QBs.
I think the difference is some fans came to the conclusion that Carter couldn't play QB failry early in his career, some annointed him before proved he could get the job done, some thought they wouldn't be able to gauge Carter's abilities because the Cowboys (supporting cast) were a piss poor team and it took atleast 3-4 years before QB can play consistently at an elite level..
Interesting that anyone that would like to see what we have in Henson is labled a whiner or an anointer. ;)
I'd totally disagree with anyone who made thought so.
Annointers are fans who think Henson is a franchise QB in the waiting because he has great measurables.
Personally, I think all fans are whiners (somewhat). We are always demanding, blaming, pointing fingers, asigning blame etc.
