I wonder if either of those guys went through a 7-year stretch where they didn't lead their teams to one playoff appearance. Hmm.

But to throw for 50,000 yards and maybe 300 TD's is rarified air. QB's that totally suck are out of the league in a couple of season. The point here is that Bledsoe has more talent than you give him credit for.
Not too many 20 year old walk into an NFL training camp and start this kid did. And for Bill Parcells.
Up in Buffalo - what was it like in 2000, 2001? What were the records pre Bledsoe?

Yep, funny how a quarterback can affect that too huh? I mean for example you stand back there and pat the ball like you're an obsessive compulsive instead of getting rid of it and you endure sacks.
Plus Drew has been cursed with some pretty bad defenses too... I mean geez look, the #2 defense last year and this year. How could any quarterback expect to succeed with that albatross around their neck? Oh yeah, Bledsoe had to deal with those no talent bums like Eric Moulds and Travis Henry too.
I think the guy outta get a medal actually.

Come over to my house, bring some chili and I'll have some "rarified air" for you.
Bledsoe "had" talent. Past tense Norsey. Jim Brown "had" talent too but I don't suggest we sign him.

And this should show everyone,if they care to see, that Bill knows
when a qb is ready.

First off the Bills were 3-13 in 2001. The Pats defense was actually bad in the 1999-2000 era. Bills defense was good in 2004. Did you watch the Defense in the Jacksonville game? Did you see them let Jax convert 4th down and march for a TD with no time on the clock? That D LOST THAT GAME.
Youu see Bills/Bledsoe finish 9-3? Without D collapse in Jax, that a 10 win season and in playoffs. I also believe a game was lost on a missed chip shot field goal?
Bledsoe in 2005!

He can pat the ball all he wants, as long as he leads our average team to at least the same 9-7 record he lead the Bills to last year. That would be an improvement.

Will you admit that Bledsoe contributed to other losses? I doubt it, you have issues.

Bledsoe is what he is, a bottom edge of average QB at this point. You give him time and he can do something. If your expecting him to singlehandedly turn the offense, your brain dead.
Theres a reason a playoff team let him go, they decided that the drop off for next year wasn't big enough to justify keeping the younger player on the bench.
Lets just keep it honest and realize that Bledsoe isn't a horrible QB, and likely isn't going to be a great QB either. Hes going to be around average if we can protect him.

Could also be that the Bills were not willing to wait with Losman and that they couldn't justify Bledsoe on the bench at close to $4MM.
There will be a huge dropoff in Buffalo next year if you ask me.

They've got a spicolli west coast laid back dude in JP Losman at QB.
They have no #1. McGahee'k knee's are a tear waiting to happen.
Their D is getting old and looks to be losing some parts.
I see a 3-13 season for them and us going right back to 10-6 orr 11-5.

I know he was on the Pat's first championship team and contributed some in the playoffs after Brady got hurt but for the most part that wasn't his team that year.

I know he was on the Pat's first championship team and contributed some in the playoffs after Brady got hurt but for the most part that wasn't his team that year. But it was Bledsoe's team that went to the playoffs in 1998. And if you're not counting 2001 as a playoff year, why count it as a year he didn't go to the playoffs? So he has played only five seasons since he last led his team to the playffs.

I've always thought Bledshole had one of the most interesting releases in the game. His throws have the most interesting arch on them. .
I guess Julius Jones' shoulder is a break waiting to happen?
Broken bones concern me far less than a rb/kid thats had 3 ACL surgeries.
If he plays for two more years he might even catch Vinny.
Only Marino is ahead of him in career Yards passed for.
VT has dibs on NFL career interception record, thats pretty safe, especially if he keeps playing! :p:

I don't know what it is, but Aikman gets penalized for having Irvin and Smith, Bradshaw gets penalized for having the Steel Curtain and Tom Brady gets penalized for having Belichick but Joe Montana never gets penalized for having like a team full of pro bowlers year in and year out. A lot of quarterbacks would be "Joe Cool" if they played on those loaded Niner teams.
I just get tired of media people and fans not being consistent in assigning a hierarchy of greatness among players.

Alot of u guys knock on Drew Bledsoe and talk about how he didnt lead the Bills to a playoff game. You cant do much with that sorry excuse of a line he was playin behind and with the Bills not able to set on one runningback.Look at the Bills past "great" teams that couldnt win a superbowl with all that talent they had.You talk about "mobility" this garbage is all hype and a trend, give me a pocket passer with a big arm who knows how to read defenses over a "Vick" anyday.I'm sorry but until this new "breed of quarterback" wins a superbowl I aint buyin it,Drew Bledsoe is gonna surprise alot of u skeptics.

I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong ,but in this case I know I wont be.Drew Henson is a joke ,started 7 games at Michigan and couldnt decide wether or not he wanted to play baseball or football.Nowonder he has hard time makin decisions on what to do with the football. This thing about takin sacks is rather retarded,U CANT BE A SUCCESSFULL QB WITHOUT PROTECTION...HELLO?!I'm a diehard Cowboys fan (from L.A. I might add) I remeber goin to the '92 Raiders Cowboys game just lovin that *** whoopin the Boys gave the Faiders, and goin up to Frisco to see muh Boys comback in the 4th Quarter to beat San Fran(one of the greatest times of my life). So I've seen all the best Qb's the Cowboys have had ,and Bledsoe has the tools and finally the right situation.

Two #1's and $17M LEFT IN FA TO SPEND.
I'm a Homer for predicting a 10-11 win season. Yup - I'm that then.
