Although the Cowboys defense will not change dramatically, the tone of practices will under new coordinator Paul Pasqualoni.

``Coach P is very intense,'' DE Stephen Bowen said. ``He's my line coach so I'm used to it. For other people, their coaches may be laid back, but coach P is in your face: `let's get it done and that's the way it is.' Everybody is pretty much fired up, so that's a good change.

``He's naturally motivated like that. He really has a passion and love for the game. When you see somebody like that, you have no choice but to believe in what he's saying.''

The Cowboys defense will look slightly Sunday afternoon against the New York Giants. But anyone expecting a significant difference now that Pasqualoni is the coordinator instead of Wade Phillips is kidding themselves.

Hopefully the Cowboy players play with more intensity & aggressiveness combined with some smarts. But, at the end of the day, we've still got 2 poor safeties, an injuried Newman combined with an underperforming Jenkins (maybe change will have the most effect on him for the better), a depleted DL due to injuries & 2 poor ILB. Ware & Spencer haven't performed to the standards we hoped from each of them. It possible coaching change effects these players the most. All in all the defense has stunk it up the last 2 - 1/2 games; they weren't a ball of fire earlier in the season either -- combined with our poor OL play.
