Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones suggested Friday he'd like to see interim coach Jason Garrett lock down the job on a permanent basis.
But if that doesn't happen, the Cowboys could have some attractive fallback options.
“I will say before I made the decision with Wade Phillips, I had Super Bowl-winning coaches solicit this job,” Jones told Dallas radio station KRLD-FM.
Jones declined to reveal names, but the list of possible candidates fitting that description is small: Brian Billick (2000 Baltimore Ravens), Bill Cowher (2005 Pittsburgh Steelers), Tony Dungy (2006 Indianapolis Colts) and Jon Gruden (2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers).
Dungy already has made it clear he's not interested.
