Scouting the Detroit Lions
On paper, the matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions at Cowboys Stadium today is the equivalent of two 90-pound weaklings hitting each other with pillows.
The two teams sport identical 2-7 records, but they are very different 2-7 records.
For the Cowboys, it's a disaster.
For the Lions, it's a step forward.
This is a team that finished 0-16 two years ago and 2-14 last year. In the past two drafts, the Lions have gotten the No. 1 pick (quarterback Matthew Stafford) and the No. 2 pick (defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh).
