ARLINGTON Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is optimistic Tony Romo will return this season, but fans might call for the team to stick with Jon Kitna after the 38-year-old quarterback's back-to-back outstanding performances.
In guiding the Cowboys to a 33-20 win over the Giants last weekend and a 35-19 victory over the Lions on Sunday, Kitna threw for a combined six touchdowns and just one interception.
He's got a lot of mental toughness, he loves to play the game, and I think we've seen that the past couple of weeks, interim coach Jason Garrett said.
