must be the money....was just reported on ESPN that Ty is interested in KC...if Woodson and Law come off the market without us picking them up WE BETTER GET LUCAS...who IMO is the next big thing at corner...very very underrated and flying under the radar....we need to get him...

They will give him a lot of money they have to with the raiders in their division. Moss and Porter are going to be tuff to keep out of the endzone.

Yep, it is not looking like Law to Dallas is as automatic as many poeple think.

Jason Whitlock, of the Kansas City Star, reports free agent CB Ty Law (Patriots) has expressed interest in joining the Kansas City Chiefs secondary next season. "I would definitely be interested in Kansas City," said Law. "If I can come there and spark that defense, they could definitely have a chance to contend. I think I definitely would help put up a couple more wins."

Jason Whitlock interviewed Law and asked him if he'd be interested in playing for the Chiefs. Law said yes. I'm guessing he's interested in 20 or 25 other teams, too.

Why? why wouldn't he be they desperately need a player of his caliber, and will probably pay accordingly. They are only a year away from being 13-3. Its debatable that they are closer to getting to a Superbowl than we are. Players follow the money. That will be even more true with what happened to Bruschi, signing for below market value and now he may never play again. Like it or not Lawyer Milloy was right in doing what he did and not backing down. As far as the Raiders are concerned the chiefs or broncos shouldn't worry. They are basically going to be the AFC version of the Vikings without the salary cap room.

Can't blame either guy for what they believe but who do you want as a teamate?

I would care more about the family than titles. These guys shorten their lives to play a game and there few opportunities to maximize your earning potential. Titles and rings don't help you when can't play anymore and can't provide for your family for the rest of your life. Milloy got his ring and is a champion and made the best move for his family to boot.

Yeah I'll answer Milloy because he can help on the field unlike who will never play again and thus can't help you as a teammate. If he does play he is risking his life.

I'm amused actually - Chiefs are in Cap hell. You would think the interviewer knew that. Been away awhile but just read news breaking on multiple wires sources that its Dallas he's talking to.
We have the resources moreso than Chiefs to do this.

INDIANAPOLIS — There has been progress in the search for a team willing to trade for Dolphins Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Surtain.
The Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts and Oakland Raiders are among many teams that have expressed an interest in Surtain, who asked for and received permission to seek a trade. The Chiefs, who would be in a position to trade their second-round pick (46th overall), are the favorite at this point, according to a league source.

Completing the deal would be complicated, but certainly possible. Not only do the Dolphins have to agree to the terms of the trade, but Surtain's agent, Gary Uberstine, who is at the NFL combine, would also have to agree to the financial terms.
Also, the Dolphins are close to a deal to trade defensive tackle Jeff Zgonina to the St. Louis Rams for a late-round draft pick. Zgnonia played six seasons for the Rams before signing with the Dolphins as a free agent in 2003.
