IRVING, Texas - Tight end Jason Witten had a message on the practice field for his teammates, many of whom have never experienced the Cowboys' annual Thanksgiving stretch:
"In 72 hours," Witten said, "we're going to be in a game."
It's a quick turnaround for such a physical sport. But the Cowboys have found recent success playing their customary two games in four days. They've won both legs in each of the last four years.
The key is staying physically and mentally sharp. Unfortunately, it means forgetting about Sunday's rewarding comeback win over Detroit.
