1. He's old.
2. He wants more money.
3. He's already won superbowls.
4. Who knows how he plays now, since the illegal contact rule is enforced.

Yeah winning Super Bowls is a terrible reason to acquire someone. You certainly don't want any of that in a locker room.

he will come here at a discount if he wants to win.
if he is offered 2x salary elsewhere he may take that. BUT THATS A PLAYER THAT WILL GIVE YOU 110%.

Yes, i can certainly live with Lucas. Age/Skills/Salary should all play a role in signing a free agent. Its just the matter of what you're willing to compromise.

Thats true.. but if he wanted to win, he would have done everything in his power to stay with NE.
