Jean Jacques Taylor

It's pretty obvious the Cowboys drafted the wrong running back in the first round a few years ago, when they took Felix Jones.

Rashard Mendenhall . Chris Johnson. Ray Rice.

Jones is solid and, at times, he can be breathtaking.

But each of those other runners would've been a better choice. Let's not even waste time discussing it.

While the Cowboys continue this silly charade of starting Marion Barber, Jones is now the epicenter of the running game and Jason Garrett has finally figured out how to maximize his skill set.

It's about time.

In the Cowboys' loss to New Orleans, Jones carried 13 times for 44 yards and caught seven passes for 69 yards. It represented just the second time in his three-year career that he has touched the ball at least 20 times in a game.

:laugh2: Yes it does. In fact I don't always read his articles.

I don't agree with him at all. Those other backs are very good but they also get 20 plus carries a game and get the bulk of the work, FJ doesn't. Those other backs also play behind much better OL's. I think FJ would shine and put up big numbers as well if he was touching the rock 20 plus times a game. FJ is very dynamic and a darn good runner...

I agree with you Mansta. If FJ had the same opportunities as the other backs his numbers would be similar, if not better.

felix is better than mendenhall and just as good as rice. make him the true feature back and he will be fine.

I like what Felix Jones brings to the table, I still believe he can carry the ball 20 times a game.

I would have agreed with JJT but since Garrett has been the HC Felix has average something like 103 all purpose yards a game.

Jjones looked as good as Felix. In fact, they are very similar RBs. Felix isn't a feature back.

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut sometimes.

I suggest 23.125 carries a game. The curse of 370 (http://views.washingtonpost.com/theleague/smarterstats/2008/10/the-curse-of-370.html) needs another victim.

 :banghead:

CAREER YARDS PER CARRY
Felix Jones 5.4
Chris Johnson 5.1
Ray Rice 4.6
Rashard Mendenhall 4.3

Yep, Felix is clearly the worst of the bunch.

Or maybe we just need to use him more.

I tend to agree with this right here....

Not for me. I still don't agree with him. If JJT were a blind squirrel, he'd starve to death.
