I wonder how Coakley either taking the vet minimum or being released will effect the cap. I believe he currently has a cap number around $4M.

I'm surprised the Eagles don't have more cap space. I thought they were up there with us.
Oh well... too bad! :D

Holy Crap! The Vikes can just about replace their whole team.
Does this amount include Bledsoe's contract or do we still have to deduct his amount from the 18.4 mil?
DOes this include bledsoe's contract?

Not for sure but I think it does include the Bledsoe signing........someone posted approx. the same figure last week after the signing.

I doubt it include's Bledsoe who should be a wash with a renegotiated or released Coakley.

Dexter counts $4.7M against this years cap.
The portion of his SB not yet accounted for in the cap is $1.8M.
An outright release of Coakely will save us $2.9M against this year's cap.
This would leave us with $21.3M.
If Richie retires that would net us $765K and thus leave us $22M under the cap.

The summary suggests the numbers actually include Dipinoli's release. If so, I would think it includes Bledsoe's contract as well.
