IRVING – Keith Brooking is articulate, thoughtful and older than dirt.
Not in terms of being a productive member of society. But look around the NFL and you don't find a lot of 35-year-old linebackers hurling their bodies into the path of oncoming running backs and tight ends.
That's one element that makes Sunday's game at Cowboys Stadium a bit of an oddity. Washington linebacker London Fletcher is 35. Brooking is 35. They rank second and third on the league's active list for career tackles behind Baltimore's Ray Lewis.
Fletcher will be playing in his 206th consecutive game. That ties him with Indianapolis' Peyton Manning and Tampa Bay's Ronde Barber for the longest current streak now that Brett Favre has stepped aside.
