I'm not too familiar with Roddy White, I like Mark Clayton at 20 though if we can't pull MW at 11. Merriman at 11 is a nice consolation IMO.
I'd prefer D Smith at FS to Sharper. Other than that though....definitely would sound like a HUGE offseason to get excited about.

CG,
That is a lot of money in the first 5 free agents you list. All five could get 10 plus million up front. That is a quick way to get back in salary cap problems.

Don't know much about Roddy White but he needs to impress at his individual workout. He got hurt at the senior bowl and then chose not to work out at the combine.

I think our second round pick is too high for Cedric Benson and also too high to spend a pick on a backup.

Sharper isn't the same Sharper he used to be. No thanks.

And Roddy White in the first? No.

Cedric Houston in the second? No.

i don't see ant way to sign all those guys.fergusen will cost 4 or 5 mil per yr,mckenzie around 5 mil, lucas 5.5 per year.there' s just not enough money to sign that many people.i suspect we will sign 4 f.a's,maybe 5 if we sign a lower level guy.i think an ot,probably mckenzie, fergy, lucas, and as fairly inexpensice f.s like smith. that alone would just about eat up our cap space with just those guys

What makes this off-season more even more exciting is the Cowboys also have enough cap space to go after any of those marquee free agents :D

In the draft I'd take Williamson over Roddy in the first...think Houston will last until the 4th...

As for all the other FA's...make it happen Jerrah. That would make us an instant playoff team this year.

I realize that this would be way too expensive. That's why I said it would never happen and I don't think I would want it to because of the price. I was just dreaming out loud. But I would really like to get 2 or 3 of those names.

Cedric Houston is a nice pick but you're right, probably too early to draft him. So get him in the fourth and make Elton Brown OG our second rounder. I was assuming Troy Williamson would be gone by #20, that's why I chose R. White- I think he's gonna be nice.

As for Plax... no thanks. Headcase, selfish, inconsistent, overpriced.

I think our second round pick is too high for Cedric Benson and also too high to spend a pick on a backup.Benson would be the steal of the draft in the second round. shoot he'll be a steal at #20.

I think he meant Houston not Benson.
