...in Oakland.

I just heard this from a pretty good source. Heard anything on that front, Hos?

Obviously a lot of us wanted him to come back here, but if this is true, I for one am happy he's finally getting a shot to prove his worth, even if it is for the devil known as Al Davis.

"in Oakland" could have gone in the thread title, no?

I was like wait...what?

Not a fan of the misleading title.

Making him the DC in Dallas would've beed "The Cowboy Way". Except we're stuck with a Ryan.

You probably ought to put it as DC in Oakland instead of leaving it like that. Was wondering why he would be offered DC job in Dallas for minute.

Maybe in couple years, as with usual Al Davis Method, Hue Jackson gets fired, if Dennis Thurman gets hired there, he will prove he is a good DC. Maybe Cowboys can then rope him here, since I don't think Rob Ryan will be long termer here.

If he proves himself couple of years with Dallas, he will be HC somewhere, if nothing, due to his Brother's success.

I really don't think it's that serious. Dragging the mouse over the post title provides a preview either way.

Won't happen again. :o:

Ah man. I knew Hue Jackson was a good hire. Love this move.

By the way, Nnamdi probably just decided to stay a Raider and Huff too.

I hope for Thurman's sake that Al stays out of the booth.

As long as you are not afraid to be fired, you could work with that. It's not a blot on your resume to be fired by Uncle Al. May actually be a badge of honor!

Though I'd wear a wire every time I talked to him. For legal reasons, and in case he forgets....

And perhaps the moderators could have one for those who ask the insidious question: Am I the only...! Rant is over.

If Thurman takes the job, it shows a definite lack of judgment on his part. And it's perplexing all this love for his talents.

Actually if you can get something done with the Raiders, show some success, other teams take notice since everyone knows how hard it is there working with Walking Dead Man.

Hopefully for Thurman he gets an offer elsewhere that is comparable.

Even Red passed on the Raiders for an interview - good judgement.
