First, and most likely only Mock of the year. I will be using the Draft Calculator (http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/games/draft-pick-value.php) throught it.
#9- Peterson, Prince, and Darius are all off the board. However, Cam Newton isn't. Jacksonsville at #16 gives us a call. Wanting to make a splash, they offer us #16 and # 48 for #9 and #105. A difference of -14 points.
So that leaves us with #16, #41, #48, #73, #137, #169, #201
#16- Nate Solder OT Colorado
#41- Aaron Williams CB Texas
#48- John Moffitt OG/C Wisconsin
#73- Casey Matthews LB Oregon
#137- Cecil Shorts III WR Mount Union
#169- Owen Marecic FB Stanford
#201- Greg McElroy QB Alabama

Garrard >> Newton :D
I could see a trade like that happening though...just not for Cam by Jax. I think they want to groom someone to be ready in about 2 years. That could be maybe a guy like Christian Ponder--who will go a few rounds later possibly.

not a knock on you because i've done it in my mocks too, but i'm not going to include casey matthews anymore. he's gonna be a good player, but he fills the same role as Sean Lee.

Pretend it is Mallet or Gabbert. I like this trade for us. :D

Love this but at pick #41 I am hoping that Jimmy SMith the CB from Colorado is still there.
Its funny that Colorado was terrible this year but I would be happy with two of there players in our first two rounds

I'm not a big Nate Solder fan. I'm not saying he can't be a good player, but I want a big body that can maul. I don't really want to move to a zone blocking running game. I want an offensive line that acts like a road grader. CRUSH everyone in their path.

Maybe he can be kicked over to replace Bradie in the future.

I'm not sure. Bradie's role is to take on the blockers to free Brookings/Lee or who ever to run to the ball and attack. Casey Matthews would play good on the weakside, but would struggle holding up at Bradie's position. Even Lee I doubt can play Bradie James position.
Replacing Bradie when the time comes, won't be hard, but does recquire a big body.

I`m with you. I want an OL that other teams hate to face. A big , mean , nasty line that wears the defense down. Erik Williams or Larry Allen types. I want them to be borderline dirty.

We have had big intimidating OL in Davis and Columbo. I want tackles who get their feet in the right position and can give Romo a clean pocket.

Davis and Columbo have went down with age. I want players with good feet as well. Just because a man is big, doesn`t mean he has slow feet.

Anyone who says "trust me" I instantly don't trust. That statement is a con man's statement.
