You can relax, this guy isn't going to break into your system. He SUCKS!

Except the guy is obviously dumb. He's not going to be SSH'ing in to anyones system who has half a brain.

Probably the best way without using a key. Then just change up the port. I wonder if he ran any of the stuff he downloaded?

For host based defense you should checkout DenyHost (http://denyhosts.sourceforge.net).

If you are really anal retentive, you can use port knocking (http://www.portknocking.org/) too.

The guy is trying to hack that computer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hacking_(computers)), except that it's a honeypot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honeypot_(computing)). The guy doing the hacking is what most people technical people refer to as a script kiddie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Script_kiddie) since he has absolutely no clue what he is actually doing.
